Took a while to find the first post-England brace example of the expected Manc attitude of, "He needs to move to a bigger club", but I found it.

I think Harry Kane has done enough in his club to be considered among best strikers in the world and having a good world cup can definitely rise his profile but I also thinks he would need to move to a better club for people to start rating him above the likes of Lewandowski, Aguero, etc.

Oh god some of those comments on the Redcafe forum are just completely idiotic! One poster says "Lukaku and Kane have scored the same in the last 5 years" to which a Utd fan responds with stats that shows Kane is way way way ahead in goals.

He then replies saying "yeah but he doesnt score against the big teams" to which the same poster replies with more stats showing that Kane has scored more against the top sides, which the first guy just ignores!

I dont get it, there are plenty of players better than current ones at Spurs and I can accept it, but the people who are so bias (all clubs have them, including us), just look like morons!

United fans in the past have always had a soft spot for Spurs (as their preferred London team), always complimentary of our better players and of our fans. But now we're a threat, that has completely changed. It says more about how far we have gained on and surpassed some of the other big 5 clubs.

I think with Liverpool and their weird obsession with us, it's because in terms of financial power, we are pretty close to them, because we have been better than them 9 out of 10 seasons, and IMO because we have done it the right way. If we had done a City or a Chavs they would have accepted that as there's the 'it means nothing' aspect to it. But that can't be leveled at us and so they are just bitter. (Incidentally, I believe the last point is pretty much the reason the other clubs - bar City - hate us)

It's getting to be something of a joke.

I have no idea why I’m still locked out. I, like a lot of people have been since the last window and get no response from the mods when I ask via DM... which after 7 years of being on here, is a shit way to be treated if I’m honest.

I’m forever grateful for the time, effort and money they put into SC and have loved being part of it, but when you can’t contribute to the transfer discussions come the summer or get an answer when you politely ask why, it makes you wonder what’s the point.

Agreed - I've just been to the help forum and realised I shouldn't complain - there are people there who have been locked out of the transfer forums for literally years with apparently no explanation.

As you say, I love this place and the people who run it, but after 13 years of being here and having contributed at least a couple of quid of my own money in appreciation of the effort Rob et al put in to SC, to be completely locked out of a whole section of the forum for no apparent reason and to then find main player threads getting moved into it... Well, it grates somewhat. I don't think it's exactly fair.

I did have some ITK regarding contracts (nothing new but about one specific player) from the same source as I got a bit of Barkley info last summer, but there’s very little point in me sharing anything if I can’t even talk about it!

I have been quietly requesting to be unbanned for a few years now with no success. Every transfer window (so basically twice a year, not exactly spamming) I make a polite thread requesting to be unbanned, every time the moderators say "this is one for @Archibald&Crooks as he enforced the ban" and then every time it just gets closed without further discussion or notification. This was the most recent:

I'm not sure what exactly the policy is, or if there is one, but I don't think a blanket, permanent ban is reasonable. I've mentioned on a couple of occasions that I don't even remember what I did it's been so long, but whatever it is wouldn't have been worth a permanent ban because I'm not an arsehole. Baffling.

The rules are clear enough and some of you, in fact pretty much all of you who are moaning about it, had more than one warning and were, from memory, actually the beneficiaries of some benefit of the doubt that isn't shown to everyone. Now you're out we're out of order, it's a joke, its this, its that and what you actually want is the chance to re-enter the ITK forums and take the piss all over again. In fact one or two of you have already been banned, let back in and banned again and you want another go? Laughable.
