It happens every international break...people lose focus...there'll be at least another week of randomness and tangents reached.
And also we are all in such a positive mood cracking jokes etc.

My excuse is i am drunk. Not sure what others excuse is.

Nice post from RAWK's Spurs thread. Last paragraph

...Toby Alderweireld...never commits fouls (8 all of last season, which is ludicrous statistic)

WTF? Is that true? 8 fouls??? That might be the single most amazing football stat I've ever seen. One foul roughly every 5 games, for a centre half. Absurd.

That's definitely a good point, but I think getting a goal or two after pressing for 30 minutes might give them the chance to then rest and press when they have to, which could lead to counters. I do think there are some teams that can cause Man City a few problems. With Spurs, the only issue I see is that they sacrifice top of the line attacking talent for athleticism a bit. Dele Alli, Son and Dembele are all excellent ball players, and Kane is a superb all-round player, but I don't see them having the same kind of ability to change the game in an instant the way Coutinho, Mane, Sturridge or Firmino do for us. At least on a consistent basis. They're incredibly effective though and should blow past most of the league's cannon fodder.

Even when they're supposedly praising us they still can't resist backhanded compliments and over-exaggerating their own players. Coutinho and Firmino are two of the most inconsistent attackers in the league, Mane was woefully inconsistent last season. Did this guy not see Son's pass for Alli on Sunday and how that instantly changed the game? Or Son's goal out of nothing against Boro? Not to mention Eriksen and Lamela are capable of passes and through balls with way more guile than the likes of Mane and Coutinho.

Rose and Walker aren't particularly good. They showed that in the Euros as did the other Spurs players. Can't understand the jizz on here for Spurs. I know the media is powerful but fuck me the hype is insane. What have they or fucking "Poch" ever won? That classic Spursy bottle job on the last day of the season tells you everything you need to know.

It's amazing isn't it - they've literally decided that us beating City shows how good Liverpool are.

Because don't forget they won the game at the Lane 12-0 but the FA, who hate Liverpool, wouldn't let the result stand so they changed the score to 0-0, then they manipulated the footage of the game so that it looked like it was an evenly fought draw rather than the cocksure drubbing Liverpool really meted out to us.

Then they dubbed over the interviews after the game where Poch said Liverpool were deserved winners and he wishes he could be Klopp's number 2, but that he knows he's not good enough for Liverpool deep down. Plus they cut out the bit where Poch said Liverpool are the best team he's ever seen and revealed that Eriksen and Alli wish they'd joined Liverpool instead of Spurs, and only really went to Spurs for the money anyway, because (and the FA doesn't want you to know this) all the Liverpool players actually play for free and pay £4 subs every week to Klopp to be allowed to play.

The final straw was that they used those Men In Black memory wiping pens to replace all the memories of the Spurs fans who turned up to make them think it was actually 0-0, so that now only Liverpool fans know the real truth and everyone else is just part of a massive conspiracy.

Prehistoric? As in before 'his story' existed.

It's clutching, but all I've got

I believe they recently found fosils of a Brendansaurus Rex clutching what looks like an envelope in his tiny hand. Also a Trigerrardtops which looked as though it had slipped and fallen into a tar pit. These finds would seem to back you up there.

Walker was actually good at the Euros. Also, since when do we all judge decent players playing in a terrible system within the national team over the course of a few matches, as opposed to an entire season at club level?

The irony of a Liverpool fan saying that media hype for us is crazy...
