Have been catching up on this thread from Wednesday onwards. By the end I'd genuinely forgotten what thread i was in
You're in the thread about aliens coming down from the moon, who took Harry Kane out for a game of golf in the morning and injected Leicester city players with an advanced drug in the afternoon allowing them to win the Premier League. Unfortunately some of the posts have particularly poor grammar.

The point is he doesn't promote from within. Rashford and Martial were both first-teamers when he arrived at United.

Not your claim riggs, I know, but it bugs me how inaccurate that is.

This.

He doesn't really show faith or trust in youngsters that are unknown and haven't done it before.
Yes both the above players are young, but they had already proved themselves (Martial less so) way before Mourinho's arrival.

Japan sent a probe to the Moon a few years back to trace the path of the Lunar module. If you look at the footage of the probe, and the film made by the yanks when they landed on the Moon side by side (available online) you can see that the rock formations and craters in both videos are identical.

The Van Allen belt issue was dismissed by Van Allen himself.

*edit - last I'll post on the subject, as it's ever so slightly off topic!

Grammar is spot on though mate.

Martial, the 32nd biggest transfer in football history. Giving young players a chance :censored:

Not to mention both are full senior internationals as well.

Had an interesting chat with a Chelsea supporting colleague and friend and another mate who is a Preston fan (who loves Ledley King) at work over Skype who wants us to win the league over City cause City outspent everyone which I thought was quite funny, convo went like this:

Him: I actually want Tottenham to pull their fingers out this year, I don't know why but I would prefer Spurs to win the prem than the Manchester clubs

Me: Coz you're a yid at heart

Him: I think it's because you guys haven't spent £££, I mean Guardiola has spent like 300 mil this year so it doesn't really say much if he wins.

Me: Chelsea were outspending teams for years, now a bigger bully comes along and you want them to fail lol, but you're right - to me if Man City win the title it's a hollow victory, like...you should be winning it anyway kind of thing...well done slow clap etc..

Him: I don't think Chelsea's spending has ever been as crazy as City's, we'd spend, but no more than Man Utd for example -City have spent mega bucks

Other mate: I think you used to, Torres was more than Ferguson spent on any one

Him https://www.transfermarkt.com/chels...31/plus/0?saison_id=2009&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=
look at the different years - first couple of years Chelsea spent big (03/04, 04/05) after that our income to expenditure has always been decent

Me: Yeah but the point is that Chelsea have often outspent everyone else in the league, all that Man City have done now is raise the bar.

Him: Yeah but, if our net spend isn't that high, we're just spending what we're earning

Me: Wages is the biggest factor in spending

Him: Maybe, but that site doesn't have that detail I don't think

Me: If you can afford to pay the best players what they want it means you're spending big, only reason why your net spend is low is because you've managed to recoup well

Him: Exactly, we're not just going and blowing £200 mil every summer without recouping unlike City - City literally give 0 sh*ts about FFP

Me: Before Chelsea were getting high fees for their players you lot were spending big and paying big money on wages, you're still doing both but City are doing it on a larger scale

Other Mate: First couple of years Chelsea spent big (03/04, 04/05)"Spend no more than Man U for example" well the example is 03/04. EXAMPLE

Him: We had 2 years of high spending then spent the last 10 years balancing the books, Man City just spend insanely every year

Me: I think it's funny that a Chelsea fan is moaning about another club spending money :D Like literally everyone else was telling you the same thing before City came along

Him: People think that Chelsea are this big spending club and spend like nuts, but if you actually look at the stats Chelsea only had a 'boost' for 2 years, then after that became reasonable

Other Mate: Yeah, But for those first 2 years you basically brought the title. When Abramovich came in. Changed the spending game

Him: To be fair Man Utd had been doing it for years and Liverpool before them

Me: Without a sugar daddy, Chelsea's success had been bought by a Russian Oligarth - Blood money

Him: That's how we roll

Me: lol

And that's where it ended cause I remembered I was at work.

Something fishy definitely goes on with the outgoings though.

£60m for Oscar
£28m for an ageing Ramires
£50m for Luiz (albeit they resigned him)
£32m for Schurle
£33m for an inexperienced Lukaku

It would not surprise me in Abramovich is agreeing a price that is lower and just giving the remaining funds back in another way. Some of those prices are a joke, considering this was before stupid prices were common.
