Part of he media's agenda is about drawing viewers, whether on TV or on a website. This means that they are going tow say/write about what will get them a bigger audience. If being pro Liverpool or United gets more viewers or clicks, then guess what, that is what they are going to argue in many cases.
If you go on RAWK, they are banging on about Spurs (and specifically Kane and Alli) are the media darlings and can do no wrong. That anyone else would be penalized for their diving but those two are untouchables. I have always heard that there are 3 sides to every story, my side, the opposition's side and then what really happened.
I don't think there is a big conspiracy theory but do believe that the views expressed in the media are influenced by past allegiances, ratings and not really understanding what they are talking about.
