Had a City fan tell me our win wasn't great as they were missing Matuidi, Dybala, Cuadrado and someone else. No one seemed to care when we missed half of our squad while beating Real and Dortmund

Just for clarification. We did not win, may have felt like it, but we need to remember and the squad/Poch needs to remember that, while it was a very good result, the job is not done.

Blue Moon: btw THKT refers to the thread title 'That Harry Kane Team'.......... wankers

Excellent comeback from them tonight, scoring twice as many goals as Juve had conceded in their previous 16 matches. Still reckon Juventus will go through, though.

Brave, brave Tottenham.

Not so sure they’ll go through. Doesn’t 0-0 or 1-1 mean Spurs go through if I’m not mistaken.

Can’t see them losing at Wembley, it will be full. Juve are over rated, parked the bus against Napoli in Serie A and won. Got outplayed by Fiorentina last weekend yet won 2-0. Really hope Spurs knock them out.

I've seen them lose at Wembley quite a few times. I take it you don't watch THKT that much ;-)

Fair play to them for coming back last night. They are a very good team and the two away goals could be crucial.

Ludicrous overreaction in the media (and here) to a good result. The tie is not over.

Looks like they like to play when the pressure is off like at Liverpool to. If they go on and beat them at home when it matters fair do’s.

I expected a really cagey game between two defensive sides but the early goals forced the HKT to attack. As soon as they got level they went back to default defence. Pochettino should unleash his team more often

Seriously, you think Spurs are a defensive team; that Pochettino is a defensive manager? Wow.

He's not defensive in the Conte or Maureen mould, but he's lot more pragmatic than a Klopp or Guardiola. Nothing wrong with his style, it's served you lot well.

Great result for them last night. Tie not over sure but if we'd come back from 2-0 down against a side that concedes once every couple of months we'd be buzzing too.

Bunch of ****s but what they've achieved over the past few years in the league and CL on a relatively modest budget is admirable

Think there's a very real chance they finish second behind us. These are their remaining fixtures in the league:

Crystal Palace (a), Huddersfield (h), Bournemouth (a), Newcastle (h), Chelsea (a), Stoke (a), Man City (h), Brighton (a), Watford (h), West Brom (a), Leicester (h).

THKT Tay doesn’t bother me. I think it actually pushes Harry and if they want to focus on him and overlook (I started to list the stats and decided the list was too long) then that’s fine by me.

I’m sursprised hiw Delle is being overlooked. He has been immense recently. Doing everything he did last season but just unlucky not to get the goals.

That league run in fixture list is fantastic to read. I hadn’t realised we’d completed that many games v the top half.

27 points minimum there I hope.

If the pressure isn't on in a knockout round tie in the last 16 of the Champions League when 2-0 down away from home then I don't know when it is

Interesting chat with a Liverpool fan earlier over who’s had a better champions league campaign so far between the two teams.

My argument:
  • beat the reigning defending champions Real Madrid
  • beat Dortmund home and away
  • topped our group with 5 wins and 1 draw
  • knock out phase away to Juventus (Italian champions twice finalists in last 3 years) came back from 2 goals down against a team who hardly ever conceede

Their argument:
  • Scored more goals than any other team in CL
  • Away leg in knock out phase won 5-0
  • Pretty much guaranteed into quarters already
Can’t seem to get my point across that they’ve had a piss easy group (where they only won 3 games compared to our 5) and played possibly the easiest team left in the competition while we’ve played both of last years finalists.

Ended up saying both teams are doing great just think our progress so far has been far more impressive but he’s on the typical football fan view of yeah but we won 5-0 and you only drew 2-2 (yes I realise I’m probably doing the same from his perspective)

While I totally agree with your point, I would probably wait until we can resolve our pass to the round of 8 before having these silly arguments. This still could go either way, and Juve have more than enough weapons to knock us out of the competition... all they need is one goal and to not let us score, something they are usually pretty good at.

Don't get me wrong, I totally believe in this Tottenham, but Juve is also a very good team and they also want to qualify. This is not over yet.

Following on from Newport's scouting report of us being leaked ahead of our 4th round game, it looks like it's happened again with Rochdale. Posted by one of their fans on the club forum:

Early warning: Broadsheets and Red Tops will print tomorrow a leaked report of scouting by RAFC of Tottenham ever since the two clubs were drawn to play each other in the FA Cup.

This behind the scenes expose of football life will shock fans to the core and leave questions unanswered about security, privacy and player safety.

I think it is only fair that this should be seen by Rochdale Fans first, before the proverbial hits the proverbial. So here it is.
Rochdale Association Football Club Scouting Report: Tottenham Hotspur

Date: 14/2/18
Signed: ********

Manager: Typical Cockney, hard to understand.

1. Hugo Lloris: Very tall
2. Kieran Trippier: Bit rough as from Burnley
3. Danny Rose: Runs a lot
4. Toby Alderwield: Foreign
5. Jan Vertonghen: Also Foreign
7: Heung-Min Son: Really Foreign
10. Kane: Shoots a lot. Watch out.
11: Erik Lamela: Named after a Terry Gilliam film.
13: Michael Vorm: Dutch: Vormsprung durch technick as they say in Rotterdam.
15: Eric Dier: Better than his name suggests
17: Moussa Sissoko: Geordie
18: Fernando Llorente: Flashy Spaniard
20: Dele Alli: Softy
22: Paul Gazzaniga: Geordie.
23: Eriksen: Tricky
24; Serge Aurier: Made in Chelsea chap
29: Harry Winks: Youth Team Player
33: Ben Davies: Notts County reject
37: Kyle Walker-Peters: Double barrelled posh boy.

Tottenham usually play a 11 player formation which can range from having 1 goalkeeper and 10 outfield players or 10 outfield players and a goalkeeper. They are prone to attack both wide and through the middle and try to shoot when they think they can score.

Player to watch out for: Ricardo Villa, tough tackling no nonsense defender

Man City are as much a one man team as we are with Kevin de Bruyne. Take either out of the starting line ups and both teams are not at their best despite still being full of top drawer players.

These Rochdale fans have been in great spirits in the build up to our match. Their self-deprecating humour has made me laugh several times this week. Wish all teams had fans like this.

I'm not normally one to sign up to opposition forums at all, but I did actually sign up on there as I had a few questions to ask (as I'm going up to Rochdale), and I agree - great bunch.

Also their matchday programme editor is on their forum and reached out to me to do an interview for their "away team" section, so I'll be making sure to get hold of one of the programmes to see that! :ROFLMAO:
