This ridiculous notion that any time a team loses a game means they bottled it can go get fucked. We lost a game of football FFS for the first time in 17 games. Newsflash, every team loses.

I guess I am lucky that my friends are grown men who don’t feel the need to gloat every time we get a bad result.

This. Gloating and point-scoring is for kids and no-lifers on social media.

If your friends are mocking you over football, get some new friends.

Genuine text from a Liverpool fan I know (born and bred in North West London unsurprisingly)

“Unlucky mate they were cheats, you lot deserved to win but you will be a proper danger to everyone when you’re not at Wembley next year”

If your friends aren’t mocking you over football then you need new friends. I can take football banter from mates, it’s social media that annoys me. From a gooner’s point of view, they’re thinking everyone is talking about a power shift etc so why wouldn’t they take the piss out of their mate and revel in a Spurs loss? I’ve got no issues with that, it’s lesser ‘associates’ on Facebook that annoy me and much more so, uneducated comments from random shitnobs on Facebook/Twitter/BBC.

My dad meets up with his mates regularly, all in their 70’s and they all take the piss out of each other over their teams. For about 3 hours. It’s all good.

Real friends take the piss but know deep down how good or bad your team is. A vast amount of the FB & Twitter community, especially those from far abroad, genuinely believe that their team is better than everyone else’s and spout shit, constantly.

I agree, I have a really tight group of friends and 50% of our chat is about football and we all support different teams, Man Utd, Tottenham, Liverpool, and Newcastle and Arsenal

Unsurprisingly the only one not make a joke at my expense last night was the Geordie fan, he sticks more to chatting about horse racing

The Goons on my social media have been making the most of it. which I fully expected seeing the amount of crap they've received over the last few weeks. However one who will spend hours continually sending pictures of Judas with the Double cups. has been particularly vociferous. I said to him this morning. I hope you are prepared for tonight's game seeing as you are giving it out so much. His reply:

Not bothered. Its not a real trophy Same as finishing in the Top 4

Oh right. now its not important. told him im saving the post. for future reference.

time to take our medicine! not much from Arsenal fans, think they realise it could all blow back all up in their face tonight

ArseMania:

He answered another question then made a point of circling back and criticising their history

Hey Giorgio, come to Arsenal.
I saw the interview, cracked me up that he went back & emphasized that fact "we know their history".
Was pleasantly surprised at the level of his English . Clearly angling for a premier league move, one can only hope its here !

A weakened Juve side did a tactical job on Spurs with nothing more than some elite level experience and two predatory attackers. Spurs were very lucky with the penalty also. All in all, a fairly comfortable evening for Juventus.

A North London side bottling it in the Ro16 of the CL.. where have I seen that again?

Finally got to watch the second half.
Joy to behold.
Spuds are diving wankers and that was a colossal choke despite the best efforts of the media to paint it otherwise.
Gratz to Juve.

Next Spurs DVD:

Almost! made it to the QF

Football is great again!! (at least for one day)

Real Madrid
Liverpool
Juventus
Man City
Barcelona
Man United
Bayern
Roma
QF stage could be great, can enjoy it properly now that Spurs are out

Good to see Potch doing Potch things when March calls. Very underrated bottler.
Cant wait for the inevitable Spurs vs Chelsea FA cup fixture. Them kicking & Cesc taking the piss.

Biggest game of the season for Spuds and they bottled it. Hope that stops the media wankfest over them now.

Hope this kickstarts the Spurs exodus.
Poch and Kane gone with the money funneled into the stadium debt.
Alderweireld to us and VAR taking care of the rat faced diver.
Spurs down to 15th in no time.

But I thought Spuds had the best CM and ST in the world? Where were they today?
Weird that.

LOL LOL LOL @ THE TOTS!! :D:D:D

Poch....PSG on line one calling....:D

Tottenham at their best can't get further than us at our worst in CL.
#PochettoOut.

Is there a spurs fan tv? I need my fix.

I love how Real Madrid hate Tottenham. Constantly take their best players and now Zidane allow them to win in meaningless group stage game so they get false security. A little like when the popular kids invite the loser to come to the party. Only to get humiliated. Spurs really are sad bunch of culture

Poch ready to move to PSG I reckon

Spurs always find a way to out Spurs themselves. What a team of ****ing imbeciles.

As soon as Higuain equalised, spurs **** themselves.. So mentally weak.

Excellent. Another trophy Spurs aren't winning

Tottenham Tears!!!!!!!!!

And The most overhyped team in english histroy with another season with Zero trophy again.

Juve got lucky, though, didn't create much. ( A reasonable arsenal fan!)

Imagine dumping a two times CL winner manager Zidane for someone like Poch lol

Son is crying lol

get ****ed spurs.
Best spuds team ever can't even go past our failures at the round of 16.

spurs are competing with teams like Juve because of Poch but he can't take them any further good manager but nothing special.

FULL TIME!!!! So sad how we've come to piggy back on the losses of our hated foe to make our season seem the slightest bit relevant.
Having said that, we'll take our pleasures where we can. **** you Sp*rs, you & your hipsters choice of a manager.

Go back to Southampton Pochettino!
It's ok, it's ok tho Poch says Spurs are going for the big trophies.

RAWK:

So today I've learned that the Italian for "Lads, it's Tottenham" is "Ragazzi, è il Tottenham".

Everyday's a school day.

Q.What's the difference between a baby & a Spurs fan?
A. A baby will stop crying after you change their soiled pants.
Spurs fans be like private pile this morning..

Some Spurs fans questioning Pochettino’s ability to make good subs and change the game. Considering the criticism Klopp seems to get about this, it surely shows that its not as easy as fans make it out to be.

We can mock spurs for not winning anything because they haven't won anything for ages! But we can't mock Pochettino for not winning anything as it's a very similar situation here with Klopp although we have got to 2 finals in with Klopp.
Liverpool and spurs are imo the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the league and both have done so and a shoestring budget compared to both Mancs and Chelsea. But this makes spurs feel more like a direct rival right now. And I can't hide the fact I love to see them lose, especially with the cheating that the manager instills in them.
But the amount they pay their players surely their better players will ask for moves away soon. You just know if that was the case here the likes of Barca and Madrid would be more than circling.
And you are right about the media. They love spurs and don't mention the bad things they do. The other thing that annoys me if I'm being honest they been so lucky getting some of their players and for so cheap as well, some of them are simply too good for spurs. But the main annoyance right now is the continuous luck they are getting through ref decisions. I think that's annoying me more than anything.

How many times have we seen that against the very best teams. You get one half to do the damage and kill them off.
That's why these coaches such as Allegri are the highest paid and at the biggest and best clubs.
His team had a shocker of a first half. He got them into the dressing room at 1-0 and probably couldn't believe his luck.

Spurs are the media darlings, can do little wrong, because they have Englands great hope Kane.

Diving? What diving?

Poch claims he helps instructs players to gain advantage ( err diving), nothing from the press about it. Diving Delli, nothing.

As for last night, No Pen to Juve when it was a clear one. Had they scored first, Spurs would have collapsed even more.

And the ball off the post at the end, offsides wasn't he. But don't let them think otherwise.

Had it went to extra time, Juve would have won anyway on pens. As they do.

I find it hilarious the pundits yesterday saying that is the defence you want when you have a lead.
Short fucking memories as only two weeks ago they lost a 2 goal lead. I'd love any Italian side as we'd beat them.

I think Spurs' attack is much better suited to the Juve's defence than ours is. Kane and Erikson, the two focal points of Spurs' attack, are brilliant players but they're not rapid which suits the likes of Chiellini down to the ground. They're old men but still technically and mentally great defenders, so do well against slower attackers.
Salah and Mane are a completely different proposition, they've got electric pace which wont suit the old guard in Juve's back line at all. Ox too if he starts, he's as rapid as Salah and Mane.
I'd fancy our chances against Juve.

Son is the perfect 4th to add to our front line to be honest, covers all of our 3 to a degree

Seeing Pochettino have no answer for what Allegri did was simply magic. He was so out of ideas he subbed Llorente on. May as well have brought Michel Vorm on
lmao.gif

How has Pochettino come away with an unused Wanyama when Spurs only needed to stop that Juve team scoring two in less than 30 minutes of football. That's inexperience for you.

So they won 1-2, right?

Spuds really are the team that just finds a way to lose. Like when they managed to score the most in the league, and concede the least and still not win it.

Ah well. One day you'll be a big club, but it is not this day.

Think their fans fucking off before the final whistle sums things up perfectly, totally out of order behaviour when you only needed one goal to take it to extra time.
I AGREE! cant believe people left the stadium on mass

Spurs to win a trophy? Campa cavallo!
Basically means hopeless situation, never going to happen. The direct translation would make little sense as it's a proverb. From campa cavallo che l'erba cresce. You're telling a starving horse to hang on pal as the grass is growing.

Oh dear....

lmao.gif

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving team

lmao.gif
lmao.gif

Oops, I just read that Wenger won 2 trophies since Poch took over at Spurs
lmao.gif

I think there is a global consensus that Wenger is shit right now. I just cannot believe how Poch is getting away with such pitiful results.

(in response to above:)
He took over from Sherwood, who with a team captained by Kaboul, with a vice-captain in Lennon and a top scorer in Adebayor managed to finish 6th and 10 points behind 4th-place Arsenal, and in under four seasons with a net spend of just £5 million per season has got them competing with the elite in the Premier League and the Champions League. They're a fucking tough team to beat and they play good attacking football. He hasn't done bad, let's put it that way.

Oh who are we kidding, it wasn’t an accident, it was a dive.......lol

Englands gallant white knights vanquished, Sir Kane, Alli and Dier.:ROFLMAO:

Best striker in Europe my hoop
lmao.gif

Kane was completely anonymous last night when it actually counted. No doubt he'll score a hat trick against whatever dross they're playing at the weekend and Primativ will be back on here telling us he's better than Pele.

There a gang of cheating bellends and got what they deserved

Unlucky Spurs fans - you had a good run and can take away some good memories. We're in the business end of the tournament now though so time to step aside and let the big boys get on with it.

lets pinch son and eriksen off them now
grin.gif

You've just reminded me that Bayer Leverkusen finished top of their Champions League Group in 2004 which contained Real Madrid, Roma and Dynamo Kyiv and we comfortably knocked them out in the next round. It's nice to finish top of your group but I'm not so sure it's something to hang your hat on - although I suppose, if that's all you've got like Tottenham, then it's you'd milk it for all it's worth.

1-0 up..

Fine rendition of 'Oh when the Spurs go marching in' belted out..

Laughing their tits off on their way to the last 8..

hilarious-gif.gif

Arrr fuckk..what happened?

Oh.......... When.......... The.......... Spuds.......... Go........... Out.......... The........... Cup........

Haha fuck off you cheating shite hawks.

In Spurs logic a 2-1 loss is actually a draw. A draw is actually a win and a win is beating Real Madrid.

I suspect there will be more Kyle Walkers this summer now - they've had two or three seasons without getting over the line, and now being underpaid. I expect for at least one or two - their patience will be tested this summer and we'll start to see this team being picked apart. How they are replaced will determine whether they maintain their performance levels.

Have to say of all their players Son is the one I like most currently.

Spurs trophy cabinet.

DXt5Go4WAAE7iND.jpg

My favourite thing about this Spurs' season is Alli being found out for the absolute fraud that he is.Beautiful. Plus I don't have to listen to our fans crying over losing out on him anymore, extra bonus.

“We know all about Tottenham's history. They get many chances but never really get the result.”

Love that from Chiellini
grin.gif

Hate all their diving antics but you know what fair fucks to them

When the draw for the groups came out barely anyone gave them a chance of progressing but they were impressive and although they're now out, they gave a good account of themselves against a very strong Juve side (which i feel way too many are talking down extremely dramatically). Still in disbelief I saw someone claim they wouldn't make top 4 in the Premier League

They're a strong side with some wonderfully gifted players in their squad. I do wonder what will happen to them if Pochettino does get tempted by a big foreign side or their big players start looking towards silverware or money
_______________

Couldn't have happened to a nicer team...
Bar Son, they are all pretty unlikable, from those that embody the worst about football (Alli) to those who are just devoid of personality (Kane)

Harry Kane has the look of a man who is going to learn Spanish over the summer.

u2j0m3xkfnwy.jpg
LOL. okay that's kinda funny

Nah, they're diving cheating fucks and their fanbase have been acting like they've won the league ten times in a row just because they've had a couple of 'not as shit as we usually are' seasons.
Fuck 'em.

in response to someone saying we've done well in CL this season considering our draws:
Bollocks mate. They’ve been in Europe for 11 out of the last 12 seasons but have never got past the quarterfinals in either competition. They need to decide if they’re a big club or the ‘new Arsenal’ - raking in the corporate dollar in a new stadium and winning fuck all.

Harry Kane needs to sign for a proper club or he is never going to win fuck all

Glad those diving twats are out

Poch is fuming with Alli after he only dived twice tonight.

Depends what type of banter you mean. I am meeting up with a few mates tomorrow night. A Spurs fan, a gooner and a West Ham fan.

The gooner mate is pretty level headed, but may well have a sly dig which is fair enough ( although probably depends on how they fair tonight). West Ham fan never makes any secret of the fact he hates Spurs, but it’s all good natured and as you say they all know deep down what the score is and wouldn’t dream of sending piss taking childish text messages etc. ( which is the sort of thing I was talking about in my earlier post).

Mocking from "part-time" fans is hard to take.

Coming home through Victoria last night, there was a substantial number of Spurs going home southbound. Some idiot, in the middle of a big cluster of us, was on his phone loudly mocking the fact we had lost.

There was a bit of a confrontation by some blokes who weren't impressed, followed up by my sons having some verbals with him. My eldest pushed him to say who his team were. The answer? Well, I'm Chelsea, but I don't really care that much.

And that, for me, typifies so many other teams "fans" compared to ours.

Banter between long time friends is fine. My brother in law is an Arsenal fan and a light-hearted ribbing after our respective teams' fixtures is par for the course. Agreed on social media - that's what I was referring to really. The vindictive, spiteful sort of mockery that goes beyond banter.

anyone else getting ripped to shit on WhatsApp ect? all these rats are coming out their hole. they've had to wait a long time for this
A little bit of shit from a Spammer on Facebook but very quiet otherwise. Instead I got a lecture from a former member on here about me posting that in my opinion we looked over confident after we went 1 - 0. It was telling me a load of stuff that I already knew about us being a young team blah, blah, fucking blah. It gave me a headache just reading it.

Man Utd's deitician needs to tell Rojo and his missus about Acrylamide, which forms when toast is burnt and is highly carcinogenic.

Yeah, so there, na naaaa na naaaa naaaaaaaa...
