Yeah, and our fans are angels...
I SAID, YEAH! AND OUR FANS ARE ANGELS! (That was so that you could hear it on your high horse) ;)
Never said our fans are angels so I’m not sure what your issue is, all I did was differentiate West Ham fans from WBA, Stoke and Bournemouth fans. I quite literally didn’t imply anything to do with the make up of our fan base.

People on this a site lately really are inferring whatever they want to even when there’s no trace of it in the posts they reply to.

Football is tribal and as such fans ought to sing what They want to (obviously minus racism etc)
If class is what you want to show then go watch a crown green bowling match and break out The champagne.
I as a spurs fan couldn't give a shit if other fans get upset or find my fellow fans classless as some are insinuating. Fuck them...If they're getting all precious and snowflakey then they're in the wrong game.

Ah, so you weren't suggesting that West Ham fans were particularly vile, then?
Using those examples of songs/chants to emphasise that point?

I was merely pointing out that shit like that was hardly beyond our fans...

Is that completely unrelated to your post?!

Yes I was stating that West Ham fans are particularly vile. That still has nothing to do with whether our fans are vile or not, as the discussion was in no way to do with our fans. I was merely stating that West Ham fans, because of the behaviour they display, are a much more valid target for a petty chant like ‘you’re shit’ than the other clubs who have a disadvantage. It really doesn’t matter how bad our fans are, we may have the most vile, thuggish, abhorrent fanbase on the planet, it would still be nothing to do with this discussion or my point. You trying to inject it into the discussion is just odd

Anyway, that’s the last I’m saying on it as it’s massively off topic now, feel free to PM if you really want, or talk about it here if you want the last word, or just accept that we wildly disagree, I don’t really care either way.

It's not about what other fans think. I'd rather conduct myself like pochettino than mourinho.
You are free to do what you want.

Having said that this thread is about what other fans think of us so carry on.

Off topic I know but from the stoke fans on Oatcake forum...

I wonder if Wimmer will be on the pitch before kick off doing his cheerleading routine for his previous club. He needs all the exercise he can get.

It will be 6.

Everyone is resigned to relegation but a heavy defeat could tip the scales and the crowd completely turn given recent events off the pitch

We’ll set up similarly to the Man City game I would imagine with the hope of creating more against a team who aren’t at the same level. We need to score the first goal though which I just don’t see, our record when we go behind is an embarrassment.....

Yet we're conceding considerably less goals.......... I reckon it's got something to do with Lambert using a 12 man defence.

We may as well lose having a go and not holding out to keep the score down mate ...It’s too late for all that bollocks

A heavy defeat or losing with a whimper could tip the scales and tbh even though I desperately hope not I can see it happening

I think we will give a good account of ourselves , miss a good chance to go in front before succumbing to a 2 or 3 goal defeat.

Spurs will fucking kill us.

I reckon Spurs could play 11 outfield players and no goalkeeper, and we still wouldn't score.

v Tottenham!? I'll go 1-1.

0-1 for me.

4-0
We're due one of these to go our way.
(4 own goals from lloris)

I guess Kane will be back and together with Eriksen and Son I think it will be a comfortable away win. How many games in a row have we lost by 4 goals to them now!?

Diving Delli the dirty dastard will get at least five penalties if we get Twatkinson, Pawson, Dean etc.

Bloody hell, took me until this one to realise this was all from a Stoke forum! Had me wondering what the duck you was going on about for a moment (the last few pages about chants had made me forget which thread i was in)

what will be as funny as fuck, would be the response on RAWK if Salah is injured for the rest of the season, especially after they wanted Kane out the way big time.

Amen brother

(Bigotry is different to "you're shit" and any conflation of them is just insulting)

It's so passive it's akin to tickling their bellies.

Whl 2020

"Hey Chelsea, you suck" "lets go Tottenham? Let's go Tottenham"
Come on Riggs, show some class for Gods sake... we are Tottenham fans and are apparently above that.
Do it again and I'm texting that number on the back of your seat to get you thrown out.

Indeed. Followed by a rendition of "I say my dear fellows, who the devil are you? Who the devil are you?" or "Shall we compose a piano concerto for you?"

It’s a crap chant because it isn’t witty. Not because there’s anything bigoted or abusive about it. It’s like the guy at the dinner party who’s grinning about some incredibly witty riposte he’s made and everyone else is just looking at each other or at their dinner. It’s not ironic or even sarcastic, it’s just a bit stupid.

Just because it's a tribal to you mate it doesn't mean that's what it means to everyone else. I watch footie with fans from all teams and enjoy it, I like the funny banter and actually, on more than a rare occasion, prefer watching football with fans of other teams than I do with some moaning, always complaining Spurs fans.

You don't own the game, mate. People can want to enjoy it however they want.
