One thing I can back the Stoke mutants on is that Bournemouth are impressively under the radar in terms of shit-housing the opposition, they're a very sneaky, snidey team (not especially against us, just in general) but rarely get pulled up for it, either by referees or the media.

Eddie Howe is the manager I'd go for if Poch ever goes very similar in style and characteristics to MP..

Definitely. They get away with it because Eddie Howe is such a "nice young man" you could bring home to meet your grandmother and because they're built up as this plucky rags to riches success story even though they're basically a poor man's Man City, same goes for Leicester. Had massive investment and been financially doped all the way to the PL.

I agree that they both seem to have a quiet tenacity about them and I think there's a chance he could be a top manager, but I wouldn't want us to go for him. Maybe in a few years, but right now he's unproven at the level we're at (and didn't do well at Burnley the only time he's ever attempted a step up, although there were extenuating circumstances).

f and when Poch does go, he will leave us in a position where we don't need to take a punt on someone like Howe - let someone else take that risk on him IMO, in all probability his next job will be a rung down from us (Leicester, Southampton, that sort of club...maybe Everton or Newcastle at a push), so if he succeeds we will probably be able to get him later down the line anyway.

As much of a bullshitter he can be, i'd rather have Brendan Rodgers myself. Carries himself pretty well, will play young players, attractive football with reasonable results.

With both of those candidates though you'd have to question their ability to keep things solid at the back though like Poch has managed.

What the actual fuck?!
Fuck me I can understand people disagreeing but he's not David fucking Moyes.

Klopp only has a marginally better Liverpool record than him and they've not finished higher than Rodgers finished with them since. There's a lot of stigma around Rodgers but he's not a terrible manager. As much as I don't mind Howe Rodgers has done much more in the game.

He sticks to his principles too however cringeworthy they may be, and doesn't just park the bus at the first sign of trouble.

Like I said he's questionable in terms of setting up a defence, but he's not some completely clueless clown.

Of course there's candidates i'd much rather have, but if it had to be a British manager, then imo Rodgers is much better qualified than Howe is.

Laughable the amount of wtf ratings Rodgers gets compared to the suggestion of Howe. Just because he's a bit of a maverick it doesn't make him a bad manager.

All a moot point anyway I hope.

Or maybe it's more to do with him being a massive self obsessed bell end ?

Just a thought.

But objectively he's actually a flawed but decent manager and I don't think he's inherently a bad bloke.

Cringeworthy with his quotes certainly but I don't think he's self-obsessed. Certainly not as much as Conte and Mourinho are.
