Because it’s their best chance of silverware.
They're more confident of a Spurs win than I am to be honest.Hope they're right.
Yeah, times were good when we were shitI love the pessimism of some fans. It takes me back to the vast majority of my spurs supporting life. In some ways, I miss that point of view. Expecting to win still feels weird. Plus, it has made many spurs fans far too serious!

I love our current team and progression. Long may it continue. I just hope we retain some humour and can laugh if and when we lose a game. Football humour can be ultimately British, I.e. Swansea singing "we're shit and we're 1 nil up...." and the comments above by Brighton fans. It's brilliant and makes football more enjoyable. I don't want to be shit. But I equally don't want to be lumped in with humourless self entitled football fans like yanited, Liverpool etc.
From RAWK, But it caught my eye and I just find it really odd for some reason, can't put my figure on it
"Should they be getting a lot of credit for this season? They're basically part of a top six structurally these days, this season both Arsenal and Chelsea have been below par, so Spurs are ahead. You look at their points total it's good, but unless they go on a tear and win every single one of their the last few games it won't be great. Looking at their records, from 2009 onwards they've basically been finishing on between 60 - 70 points and they've finished mainly in the 4th - 6th places with those totals, except for 70 points (15-16) - 3rd place and the standout 86 points (16-17) - 2nd place.
They're on 68 now with 4 games to be played. They're basically where they're supposed to be in a season where 2 of the top 6 have been underwhelming, so Pocchetino shouldn't be getting too much credit for this one? Not having a go at him / them, just curious how their own fans rate this season."
Ah, yes, the old 'Spurs can only profit from another team's failings' - of course.Arsenal and Chelsea have been below par, so Spurs are ahead.

Oooh he's got a nice arse
Exactly, you can only compete against what you're up against.I don't know why people try to over analyse things like this, at the end of the day if we finish higher than 6th we've over-achieve based on resources and wage bill regardless of how other teams have performed, none of this we should be finishing top four blah blah, 6th should be our limit, it's not our fault if other teams don't manage themselves properly.
