Rawk: The Poch To Real Madrid Posts

As soon as we get Fekir and a GK i'm just going to sit back watching the teams around us implode:

Poch leaves Spurs.
Mourinho goes full Mourinho.
Chelsea will have no manager and owner who's lost interest
Arsenal reality hits home with two years out of UCL.

Miguel Delaney from the Independent saying Poch is Perez's personal choice!

It’s happening!

You can’t stand in the way of someone pursuing a dream of going to one of the huge Spanish clubs, regardless of their contract situation. (We'll see if this fella thinks the same when they come for Klopp)

According to a report in the Independent, they are saying Spurs will not stand in his way, providing the money is right. Interesting times ahead....

Poch might really want it.. He wasn’t happy at the end of the season...

Out of interest, would you feel the same if they came knocking for Klopp?

Klopp wouldn’t go there so it’s a pointless question.

Club size and stature come into it. Real Madrid are giants of the game, Liverpool are giants of the game, Spurs are giants in North London.

Real is not Klopp’s cup of tea though, plus Liverpool is much better placed to compete for trophies then Spurs. So not quite the same.

Come on Madrid, please get him.

I think it'd be pretty funny just to see the furious backtracking from Spurs fans, but couldn't really give two fucks either way. Personally think they're in a position like when Arsenal moved into their new stadium, they need a manager to perform a minor miracle just to keep them in the hunt for the top four. There's no doubt their spending will take a bit of a hit, its just not realistic for it not to. And all of this when there's five other clubs with top managers all able to spend a LOT of money. And I honestly don't think there's a manager out there who could perform that miracle for them.

The emotional rollercoaster that Spurs fans must be on must be something else. To go from loving Real Madrid 5 days ago to having their manager poached...lol.

Klopp is at a big club that has shown they can mix it with the best in Europe. Pochettino is at a small club that hasn't been near a trophy in a decade. Hardly comparable.

-------------------------------------------------------------
He said this though..

“When Real Madrid call you, you have to listen to them. Although in this case it doesn’t depend on me. I have just signed a long contract with Tottenham and I am very happy here."

Pretty much asking for the job

-----------------------------------------------------
it’s so bloody obvious to an outsider

Joachim Lowe was linked to the Madrid job ‘I rule this out completely’

Pochettino is linked to the job ‘When Real Madrid call, you have to listen to rhem’

Now, this doesn’t mean they will want him, or want to pay his contract out, or that he would be happy with the set up their (because he’s happy at Spurs, why go somwhetre if it isn’t right?)

But my goodness, it’s so far from a no it’s untrue.

He makes it very clear that he’s interested in the job, but then goes on to dampen expectations because he’s a spurs employee and is sensitive to their fans.

If Reals interest is genuine, I’d be very worried if I were a Spurs fan

I love how the last chump misquoted Poch to make his point

To be honest if it came out that klopp was Madrid's number one choice and then when asked about it klopp said he'd have to listen then i too would think it's only a matter of time before pool are managerless

So I understand their glee

No mentioning of Klopp and the possibility of him being courted.

Perhaps they need to get another petition up and running.

I don't think Klopp would go and all the comments I've seen on Marca suggest Madrid supporters don't really have any expectation of him going either. However committed he is to Liverpool (and I suspect he's very committed to Liverpool) he's certainly given off the vibe that he's there for the long haul and people seem to accept that. He would be the crowd-pleasing choice at Madrid but I don't see it happening.

There's something about being a Liverpool fan that gives this unearned sense of entitlement their whole fanbase seems to have, it's insane the sheer amount of idiots they have

Is “mix it” a euphemism for lose? Remember when Liverpool mixed it 4-1 with us earlier this season.

I can’t wait until Liverpool get over their insane obsession with us. It’s like we have inadvertently contradicted a cult or society of conspiracy theorists and they won’t let it go. I feel like we’re being followed around by a mad wretch who won’t go home until we admit he’s a “giant of the game”.

There's something I just can't understand....we hear daily that Klopp is not just the greatest living manager, he's probably the greatest manager of all time, if not the greatest human being who's ever lived. So why no apparent interest from RM? It's well known that RM will always target whoever they consider the best and practically always get him. So what's the solution?

Oh, I forgot, Liverpool is a bigger club than RM...

Maybe behind the scenes the Liverpool board have agreed to drop the lawsuit, appeal to the high court and the death penalty against Ramos if RM don’t contact them about Klipperty. That way Liverpool still have a genuine excuse for not winning the CL, which fits in with their victim mentality, and get to keep the best manager in the world, and RM get to keep the cup ( which really should be Liverpool’s) and they don’t lose Ramos for 20 years hard graft in a Soviet gulag.

The arrogance is on a scale I'm not sure I've ever seen before, even from United.
I think Liverpool fans have been way more arrogant than Utd fans for a long while.
Utd fans have a recent trophy haul to back it up.
Liverpools fans think its still the 1980s.
I'd have thought Liverpools form in the last decade and the rise of ourselves, Man City and Chelsea will have had a massive impact on the scale of their global fan base.
How many fans now supporting those teams in foreign lands would have gone with Liverpool years ago?
Really was the icing on the cake that after we beat Real Madrid 3.1 the media gave us no credit and said RM are shit and no longer the team they were, only for them to go on, knock out Bayern and Juventus and beat those twats 3.1 in the final lol.
Perfect.

I was trying to explain this to one of the Liverpool supporting dad's at my sons football team.
He may, as I myself do, consider Liverpool a big side because we remember the late 70s and 80s.
However, our kids who are both 10, have never seen Liverpool lift a trophy and have only seen Liverpool finish above Spurs once or twice in that timeframe.
I then used the evidence of the high percentage of kids we encounter supporting Spurs compared to Liverpool.
He just shrugged his shoulders and walked off laughing while shaking his head.

No argument, no attempt to provide some sort of insight, just a complete non-acceptance that we have been for the last decade a better team.

Or how about the fact that we didn't "mix it" with the current best in Europe, we beat the ****s :finger:

It’s weird, because the typical football fan delusion is to think that your team is special and the whole rest of the world is blind to it.

Liverpool fans are doubly deluded in that they think their team is special and that the whole world agrees with them.

They probably think Madrid is full of blokes sitting in tiled bars saying “we got lucky this time, but next year is definitely Liverpool’s year”.

It’s amusing how they desperately want Poch to go, but pretend they don’t really care because Tottenham aren’t a threat to mighty Liverpool ( despite finishing above them in 8 of the last 9 seasons )

Yes but it is factual, and a marker of where we are as a club, surely? They spend and try and spend and try, but we are still on the same number of titles, and we are massively ahead on league finishes. on any metric, at least for those 10 years we are the better club?

Never said it wasn't correct. But we go on about it way too much.

Wow, the arrogance of some Liverpool fans! Surely Liverpool are their manager and talisman away from being, well, just mediocre! Look how the loss of Salah affected their team in the CL final phsycologically... or perhaps I'm just another deluded Tottenham supporter!
