Just seen this from a Villa fan (I rarely look at other clubs fan pages where we are mentioned as it seems mostly to be abuse - this appeared on my News Now feed and the title looked very "different" ) - interesting perspective on villa v spurs progress / decline in the Premier League & their (his) view of Daniel Levy.

As perhaps the toughest negotiator in the English game, the thought of him up against our rabble in securing a deal for Grealish is almost comical. Levy will pull our pants down, slap us on the backside and make us feel grateful for anything sum of money that we receive.

If it was Tony Adams I'd feel exactly the same. That thread would have been locked before it had even started!

Thinking something is one thing but to publicly lord a bitter rival is just wrong. The games gone...

The only people who think Wham are our "Bitter rivals", are their deluded lot.

Completely different to us and Arse

Very good article and all true.

I am a BSoDL for those very reasons. I know there are a lot of Spurs fans who love Levy, but there are a lot who wish him gone.

The more I speak to opposing fans the more I’m hearing how they admire Levy. I think we all need to appreciate him.

Other fans sure wish they had him

Cheers for sharing that

I am also on the positive side of neutral when it comes to BSoDL, with the caveat that there have been, & with the benefit of hindsight (and in some cases ignoring foresight) some dreadful managerial appointments / player purchases / non player purchases (could have signed but didn't).

& yes, there are things i don't like about the new stadium, mostly ST prices but at the end of the day (and in the fullness of time) it's going to be magnificent. ?

Note: I travel from North Somerset from home games, mostly via GWR - travel costs are broadly the same as the cost of the match tickets, unless i can get a discounted "advance" ticket (but not until TV fixtures are confirmed) ?

The one thing the article neglects to mention is the difference in managerial appointments, I would suggest that has been Villa's biggest problem.

I think managerial appointments have been part of the problem for them but not the reason we have prospered and they have not.

After England's exit from the world cup last, it'll be Spurs' boys copping the flak from the usual suspects I suspect.

Great story on 5 live this morning of a gooner in Moscow telling a reporter the Spurs boys had bottled it again, turned around to walk off and the reporter says the guy had Kane on the back of his England shirt ...you really couldn’t make it up !

15 mins after the game had message from spammer with contrasting pictures of Moore Hurst and Peters with the World Cup and Kane, Dele and Tripps consoling each other - and he’s a travelling England fan! I did reply that of course Moore was denied his dream of joining a bigger club (Spurs) by a bitter Greenwood, Hurst only played because a far superior striker Greaves) was injured earlier and Peters did in fact realise his dream of joining a bigger club!

We are on social media by the minority already but thankfully they're getting drowned out by the majority.

Had a couple of people tried to chuck it last night on my timeline but when you point out that Spurs players scored 8/12 England goals plus Dier scoring the winning penalty they don't seem to have a response. Also Arsenal supporting mate who was calling Spurs bottler got totally shut down by a Chelsea work colleague last night and mugged him off lol.

Plus our captain has a chance to lift the World Cup on Sunday :sneaky:

I do wonder what goes on in some people's heads sometimes. My cousin took to Twitter within minutes of the result. "Can look forward to some good football now with Arsenal!" I had to ask him if he didn't enjoy the WC and if he even likes football. No response yet.

I had to block a load of "friends" on Facebook after the anti - English abuse last night. People who don't watch football trying to be funny but just spewing hate. Fuck em all.
