Thought I'd go and find what Watford (our next opponents) are saying about us. Crazy I know!

Tottenham bit rubbish after half hour. Hope they play like that Sunday.

Then the same poster 45 minutes later...

Well they bin clinical 2nd half.

I fear Lucas Moura next week. He looks a right handful. The kind of fast, tricky and strong player we’ll struggle against.

Top of the table clash it is then next weekend! Spurs will probably wipe the floor with us but Utd are there for the taking at the moment.

Then one fan who appears to live next door to one of SC's regulars:

My neighbour popped in for the second half and she is a Spurs fan.
My word I know they are inclined to be pessimistic but she takes the biscuit, shouting at the tv whenever Utd approached the Spurs goal and this was at 2-0!
Lord help her if they are going for the title and have a close game in the run in,she'll need a pacemaker!

Hopefully Gracia has a plan that involves making sure Kabasele is tracking Lucas Moura, not Cathcart as he'll run past him comfortably just as he's done against Utd's defenders tonight.

Some sarcasm intended in this post:
As much as we should be beating the likes of Spurs, I'd take a point.

And in response:
You know there will be Spurs fans taking that comment seriously !

I remember there was last time ..

Bet we get someone sent off for nothing after all the Capoue fuss

Although Moura looks a threat and is lightening fast we’ll be sat a lot deeper than Utd were. They got caught on the counter for both his goals. Obviously the tough part will be keeping everyone else out so we aren’t chasing the game and put in the exact same position.

From Reddit

When the ball hits the net and Mourinho's upset
... That's a Moura

I've been singing to that tune everytime he has scored since Rochdale, just the trouble is it's a very limited verse as i'm shit at putting a whole verse together:ROFLMAO:

:

they will only be sat deep if it's 0-0, if they are 1-0 down they will need to come out and attack

I also think calling the second goal a counter isn't quite right either. They were hardly threatening our goal at the time, but just happened to be keeping a terrible high line that we exploited.

Belting header from Kane.

Hahahahaha library time at the shithole after Kane’s finish hahahahaha

World class defending from Phil the Face.

Good header by the mouth breather and typical defending from Stan Laurel.

The look on the llama's face there. Hilarious

Pawson gonna have to earn that envelope now .

Well, well, first thing he’s done all game but it was worth waiting for. Come on Spurs

Lucas has deserved that, great finish, best player on the pitch.

Well this is entertaining

A lot of the times I watch Kane, I think: He's not that good. But then, he does something utterly brilliant like this. You can't argue with that talent.

Herrera with a shithouse challenge. Little grub.

Hahaha Herrera the twat playing offside on his own. Fucking love it

Should calm down now. Don't want Mourinho to get fired

That was brilliant from Lucas Moura.

Rags getting battered.

Dear oh dear, Snalling was left for dead there. Brilliant.

Not even Tottenham can bottle this

Get in Lucas hahahaha

In all honesty did we scout Fred with the intention of trying to bring him in or was it a ruse to flush the rags out and get them to sign him,he’s been shocking ...

Really wanted Moura in city shirt few years ago

Gonna show my ignorance here, but ‘rags’ as an insult from Citeh to Utd? What’s that all about?

Fans of Manchester United are called “Rags” which is a reference to the period after WWII when United had to borrow Maine Road (homeless) due to the bombing of Old Trafford. It’s also believed that the term originally stems from their own fans since United were so poor at the time that they had to play in (2nd hand) kits which after a while started to look like “rags”.

Well fuck me, I’ve learnt something new tonight. Ta. To me, ‘rags’ means ragheads, aka Arabs (not condoning at all) so seemed odd. Glad to learn different.

I hate Spurs but United being our bigger enemy, id rather them fail more miserably. Higher fall from grace compared to Spurs.

Besides I love to see the sad faces of Mckola and specially Howson of fulltimedevils. [/q]

Has anyone else noticed a quite stark affinity, or at least a symmetry, between Arsenal and Man Utd?

15-20 years ago the two clubs were the top two in the country, both coached to great success by long-serving patriarchal managers. Since then both have been taken over by remote American owners who are despised by fans for exploiting the clubs for financial gain instead of investing for sporting success.

Arsenal and Man Utd are two of the three historic clubs of English football, along with Liverpool. Three new interlopers have joined the fray, seeing both Arsenal and Utd surpassed on the field by their local rivals.

Both clubs have struggled in different ways to deal with the consequences of the success and longevity of their patriarchs. Both clubs feel that their historic identities have been seized and sucked dry by foreign investors incompatible with the traditions of the club. Both clubs are indignant that their rivals, whom they considered insignificant not too long ago, are now better than them. Both sets of fans are divided, restless and fear that the superlative history of their club is being inexorably lost into the ether of the global corporate space.

Arsenal and Man Utd have a lot in common, it's just a difference of scale. Someone should write a book about that. [/q]

Found this on arsemania will enjoy their descent into obscurity especially when the club goes full Kroenke

I would be interested to know if United fans think arsenal are the clubs biggest rivals or is it that club down the road in the same city that can match them financially. Arsenal fans should be asking themselves if they are even the biggest club in London.
