Rivalries were less fierce back then weren't they? My dad used to go to the odd West Ham game with his mates and vice Versa.

We didn't really have much of a Hardon for eachother back then did we?

The clubs...not me and my dad.

compared to today, today is tame mate TAME

those days they had the ICF and even the ICF youth, and they loved a blade

Too young? Heavy metal developed in the 60's and early 70's.

I was a 10 year old head-banger when Sabbath's Paranoid came in '70, already into Zeppelin and Purple, followed a few years later by Priest, Uriah Heap, and a few others (I'd mention Maiden but Steve Harris is a huge tit wet scam supporter), oops, I just did :(

the bloke I used to go with was a fair bit older than me and we are going back to 1984 when quite a lot of people where Quo fans(y)

Shit, I remember when Pictures of Matchstick Men came out in '68..............................................thanks for making me feel old

Loved Heavy Metal until the American hair bands of the '80's messed it all up! Anyway, off topic, as you were.........F**k Wet Scam (y)

Ye but that was the firms. I reakon the hate is more spread now.

oh yes I agree them days it was firms and battles across the country against all teams, but the hate for your local teams was still there. it just shows up more these days through the internet which just wasn't there in those days

Keyboard warriors mostly now, thankfully. Lets not glorify those arseholes of the past. Anyone who thinks that was great or clever can fuck right off as far as I'm concerned. No place for those knobheads in todays game.

I'd like a plausible explanation as to why they ever release bubbles?

It's a sign of joy for them for the few seconds until they pop and then remember how shit they are and go back to dragging their nuckles along the floor.

My Grandad hated west ham.
He used to give the old 5 knuckle shuffle to their fans at the lane as far back as the 90's
When I was a kid at school in the 90's the west ham fans were all irritating twats. They used to greet almost all new people with "who do you support?"
As soon as you say Spurs, they go off on one.

I don't really give a **** about them and refuse to get into banter with them. If we win I don't add any fuel to their desire to start fires.
The only reason I don't like losing to them is because like most of you, I'm utterly surrounded by them.
Them and Liverpool fans. Go figure.

I really hope that means something else to you than it does to me o_O

They wouldn’t give us the whole stand, we never used to give them the whole park lane stand

we gave them the whole Park Lane when I started going in the late 70s, a couple of years later they started giving us the whole clock end as I recall
