So , if a bloke (or girl) walks into a crowd, with a gun, and starts shooting randomly, they’d be less guilty if they didn’t actually kill anyone? Lloris is a twat, he should find it hard to sleep at night, and like all of us who’ve made mistakes he’ll get over it. He doesn’t need excuses made for him.
Uh...yes?

One is attempted murder and the other is actual murder.

They have different sentences for a reason. Totally bizarre question.

Lloris also got a similar sentence despite doing 15mph in a 30 while drunk as alonso got for doing 70 in a 30 into a wall and killing his passenger. Both are idiots but the sentences arent consistent albeit they were in different countries

Either way probably shouldn't boo. Bad taste all around.
Although you're right, I think the reason people are doing it is just a misguided attempt at putting the bloke off his game...not taking the moral high ground over what he's did.
I'd very much doubt the people booing are all angels who'd never dream of driving after a couple of beers.

It's daft in principal because I think this sort of attention is just as likely to spur him on to play better, than it is to put him off his game....regardless of whether it's bad taste or not.

But, I’m sure you’d agree, it’s not a good look.

Maybe respect the dead and their family and don't use the death to try and influence a game?

Not directed at you more the disagree to my post.

Eh?
They're doing it in some attempt at making him out to be the bad guy?
What on earth has respecting the dead got to do with anything?

Sorry edited my post.

Still though booing someone over a death (that was one of his friends) to put them off their game is bad taste. His fault or not.

Brave Dave Luiz ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared its ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Dave Luiz turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Dave Luiz!

My chav mate seemed more pissed off we were booing Alonso which is a bit weird.

Tbf, bit stupid that we do seeing as our captain just got done for drink driving.

And killed a total of 0 people.

Petty I know :D

@FibreOpticJesus talking about marcus alonso. Do you think that booing him at a football game helps the family of the dead girl? Or is it just pricks wanting to have a dig at an opposing player and they really don't give a fuck about what really happened.

It is bad taste. Neg me as much as you want.

Not really the point though. He could have quite easily seeing as he was meant to be swerving all
Over the place when he got pulled over. I agree though, there’s obviously a difference just think it’s a bit silly when our captain was very stupid too.
Yeah. It's a bit silly to say Alonso is worse than Lloris because the former killed someone by accident. I would argue that there really isn't that much of a difference. If anything what Alonso shows you is the risk you take getting behind the wheel under the infulence of alcohol. It's not as if he set out to kill anyone anymore than Lloris did and, conversely, Lloris posed exactly the same risk to the public as Alonso did. It's just lucky that in Lloris's case he was pulled over before he injured or killed anyone. I think people are missing the point if they judge it by the end result.

While ultimately Lloris got very lucky so the initial reprehensiblity of his actions is equal, a quick dig shows that Lloris was driving 15mph in a 30 with 80mg/100ml alcohol/ blood, Alonso was doing 70mph in a 30 with 91mg/100ml alcohol/ blood. Both are horrible mistakes, but saying they are the same is like saying firing a pistol once into a crowd is as bad as throwing a petrol bomb into a primary school classroom.

The initial mistake of getting behind the wheel is equal, but Alonso’s actions following that were dramatically more likely to kill someone and as such yes, he deserves greater ire and disdain than Hugo does, even before considering that he’s taken a life and destroyed a family while continuing to enjoy a paradise of an existence.
