Spurs finished above Arsenal twice in 22 years and that‘s power shift?

Left out the somewhat relevant point that it just happens to be the last couple of years....Having said that I think we have to finish above them for another two or three seasons to really be able to say that the balance of power has shifted. I'm very confident that will be the case, three points tomorrow will go a long way to ensuring that it happens again this year. COYMFS!!!!

Wow, feeling blessed! The mysterious @muddy , a member since 2004 with only 12 posts and no recent activity whatsoever, has snuck out of hiding to give me a "spam" rating for a light dig at the Woolwich?

Methinks he may perhaps wear red undergarments?

Love how they still bring up our best players and manager leaving :banghead:

Gooner friend has said for the last three summer's that Kane is leaving. Also said poch will be going to Madrid in the summer. He's completely relentless about it. And a twat.

They probably have a better first XI, we probably have a better squad. We also have a new manager who is changing things. We need a St Totteringham's Day soon to quell this idle talk.

Don't know how he works that one out. If we play the same team we did against Chelsea we have Winks, Lamela and Lucas on the bench and if fit, also Rose, Dembele and Wanyama. And they would have who, Ramsey, Welbeck and Mkhitaryan? They've got virtually nothing from their bench if Lacazette, Aubameyang and Ozil are all starting.

I think people love to feed off the whole 'we have no depth' statements of the past without even really looking into it. It's not as bad as some like to make out.

Claims about our depth are sooooo lazy especially recently. Yeah, we're desperate for a bench with iwobi, holding and guendouzi on it. Give it a miss thanks.

Exactly, and they forget they are starting with Xhaka, Kolasinac, Holding and Torreira ???????

Been having a great time at work the last couple of days winding up the goons saying “I’m confident - we always do well against mid-table teams” they bite every time :LOL::LOL:

From Arsenal Mania (I went on Goonersworld too, but not much there. Just a load of moaning about Mike Dean being the ref)

Not optimistic about this at all, I think Pochettino will have a plan combined with Spurs' attack really hitting top form they could absolutely destroy our defence.
We're now in a position where there's no debate, Spurs currently have the better team with the better players. I honestly never thought I'd see this, I honestly never thought we'd be heading into a home NLD knowing that we're about to face a better side.

This will be a very even game IMO, but we can definitely win. Tottenham's biggest advantage over us in the last couple of seasons has been their high energy, hard running style that uses physicality and aggression. They do it very well.

This season, Arsenal are more equipped to match them in this regard, which will render that advantage null and void. It will be a highly intriguing battle and I'm really looking forward to it. I honestly hope we smash them tbh, they're getting a little too full of themselves

.

They've been full of themselves for a few years now and they've accomplished nothing. They don't realise they're in for a shocking next decade or so with the stadium. Sunday is going to be the start of their drop into the abyss of the bottommost bowels of hell.

It's a big game so Lloris is bound to make a mistake, he has also had a few good games recently, very unlike him to string a few games together without making a mistake.

As the in-house pessimist, I think we'll struggle here. Spurs were excellent against Chelsea.

Emery will need to work his magic here.

Feel like we're going to win this one. Need to press them high and get running in behind their centre backs early. The wee man in midfield will be key for us winning this game. Need Iwobi to believe in himself because he has all the tools to make the difference in this kind of game and for Auba to take his chances with class.

COYG.

Hope Aubameyang finally delivers in a proper big game.

Can't criticise him atm for his contribution to important goals this season, Bournemouth and Palace I think? Maybe another? But he's got to end this draught vs the top 6 and the NLD would be the perfect start. Needs to take his chance when he gets it.

Got a horrible feeling we're going to get smashed here. One of those games where everything will go wrong.

Spurs are a better side than us and when Emery loses to Pochettino he tends to lose big.

What makes me laugh about Gooners, and most rival fans really, is that a lot of their predictions don't tend to be what realistically might happen...they predict what they'd really, really like to happen.
