Is that from an actual Barca forum or is it just some English-language message board full of 14-year-old spoiled brats from England/USA/UAE/China who are all Barca fans because they like pwning n00bz with Messi on FIFA?

".. Plus if you remember the 2008-09 treble season, we played the last game as a dead rubber against Shakthar..."

The deafening silence on that forum when no one remembers because they weren't allowed to stay up past 7PM.

Ok, FINE. I'll do it... As much as I prefer Julie Bowen to Barcelona fans... :

TBH, this is not a game we need to win at all..It is the perfect chance to experiment but as usual Mr Safety first ..I am not sure if he knows we have won this group already and have nothing to play for

Plus if you remember the 2008-09 treble season, we played the last game as a dead rubber against Shakthar ..Do you know what the line up was?

Joquera Cáceres Pique Victor Sanchez Keita Sylvinho Busquets Vazquez Bojan Pedro Hleb.. Remember this was when Pique, Pedro, Busquets and Keita were bench players..and guess what ...we lost 2-3 at the Camp Nou.. DOes anyone care today? Hell i just vaguely remembered it and looked it up to get exact details... "

Damn, wish that guy was Barcelona's manager.

Don't forget the African internet warriors. They know EVERYTHING about football.

Back on topic, is there a Uefa rule that stats you have to field the strongest team you can?
I could imagine Inter being fucked right off if Barca put 11 noobs out and we win tbh.

There was a rule in the league cup a few years ago where you had to have I think 5 players in the starting line up who had either played the previous game or had to play the next game. Not sure if there's anything similar from UEFA though, or indeed whether that rule is still valid in the cup. Famously Holloway got done for it with Blackpool I think.

How would UEFA quantify which is Barcelona's strongest team, when football is a game of opinions? Who makes the call that [insert name here] from Barcelona B is not as good as Lionel Messi?

I see this supposed rule mentioned quite a bit but never bothered to do the research to see if it's genuine. Personally, I think any team should be within their rights to field whoever they fucking want, especially when they're paying the wages of dozens of players who'd be excluded from the majority of "strongest" XIs.

Ah yes, I remember that now - back when Blackpool were in the Premier League.

"See those 20 players you pay thousands of pounds to each week to kick a ball about? Well, they aren't good enough to play against Aston Villa. If you don't play Brett Ormerod - even though he's broken his leg - you'll be fined!"

I would imagine they would look at how many times the players involved have previously played for the club in the last year, exclude new players etc and work on that.
It ain't hard to say that there are 9 players in their 11 that have a combined total of 6 first team games between them and deduce it's a weaker team.

You'd be surprised at how "little" back up, youth and reserve players earn.
If you're talking kids with little first team experience, most would be lucky to get £2k a week.
Mere chump change.

FWIW I reckon if you've got a 25-man squad you're allowed to register then nobody should be able to tell you that any of those players are a "weakened side". Obviously if someone fielded a team exclusively consisting of academy players who weren't in the 25 man squad then questions would be raised, but that's obviously massively unlikely. Whatever B team Barca might decide to field it's more than likely going to consist mostly of people from the 25 man squad anyway so that's fair enough.

Why has nobody mentioned that PSV have nothing to play for and may field a weakened team themselves?

Arse mania :

Looking forward to the media treating spurs getting a draw against Barca reserves as heroic.

What a sh!t day of results.

Remember how funny it was when Spurs lost to Juventus? Looking forward to that again in March.

Yup, fück Napoli and fück Barca.

All EPL clubs through but hopefully none get past the last 8. This is useful in terms of the co-efficient until we're back in the CL and keeps those clubs distracted from the league for a while.

I mean I’d rather have not faced Pool or Spurs in the Europa League.

Also no chance Spurs are doing anything against a proper side.

Typical Catalans with their match fixing.

Excellent, they'll be out next round anyhow.

Imagine letting a fascist score against you

After new year with more training, Emery will have even easier time with Spurs than our last game against them. Their day in the sun has come to the end.

****ing Inter failing to win at home to PSV, what a joke

The Inter fans over on forzainterforums sure are an eloquent bunch:

Seriously, fuck Spalletti. This game was the easiest lay up ever. He should GTFO after winter break.

Bunch of losers. That's what they are.

Fuck this shit. These fuckers dont deserve to get one fucking spectator till the end if the season. Fuck the players and fuxk spalletti, fuck fucking everyrhing. Fuckers.

Can't even achieve the simple task of beating PSV. You can all burn. Spalletti, you deserve to rot in mediocrity you fucking coward. You are on the same level of cowardice as Mazzarri.

fuck this shit... fuck inter, fuck barcelona, even fuck napoli... they are the same shit

This season is ruined. There is no way back.

I have never been more let down by this club than right now. This is fucking pathetic

This is such a depressing shit.
Fuck you Asamoah. Fuck you Valero. Fuck you Martinez. Fuck you Spalletti. And fuck you Nainggolan.

Lets hope tottenham plays with rubentus in the next round

Spalletti is a piece of shit pussy ass never won anything 'coach' with boiled eggs as his cojones. Fuck a donkey you bald fuck.

Tottingshit was quite lucky tho.

Late winner vs PSV, quite lucky win vs Inter (a draw would have been more deserved) and they got Barca at a moment where they were qualified....

That said we just had to win vs PSV and didnt manage to do it. Yes it was a little bit unlucky as we were better the whole game and had our fair amount of chances but you have to win anyway.

I heard a special one is at risk in Manchester, bring him back!
