There is no way Pochettino says no to United in favour of Spurs.

Spurs will be an Europa League position team again very soon. They're lucky to have retained a terrific manager, some world class players. Their run is going to end - they don't have the drawing power to replace this level of quality”

Why I fucking detest United and their arrogant **** fans!!!! It’s guys like this that make my blood boil. Like they have a given right to grab anything they want because they are Manunited. I honestly hate them just as much as Arsenal and Chelsea fans.

To be honest most of what he's said is probably right unfortunately. If Poch does leave it would almost certainly mean Eriksen didn't sign a new contract, Toby is already also probably on his way out, and the likes of Jan and Alli would weigh up their options. It's unlikely we're going to get another manager as good as Poch on the first attempt to steady the ship, and with all those players probably gone, we could very easily slip out of the top 4. And he's right, we don't have the drawing power to replace the likes of Eriksen, Toby Jan, Alli etc. with players of equal quality. We'll have to take punts on young players or players from less glamerous leagues like they were when we signed them and hope they can develop into similar players to those we've lost, but none of that will happen overnight.

It's an arrogant post, yes, but that doesn't make it wrong.

Nah, don't agree.

The primary reason we've failed to draw in the bigger players in the past is usually down to the player salaries. That all changes with the new stadium and the match day revenue. Plus if Poch was to leave, we're in a very strong position to hire a great manager as we continue our project.

All this moot though because I honestly don't believe Poch would leave us, especially not in the short term. Setting aside his obvious morals, he's already getting 8.5 million a year isn't he, making him one of the best paid managers about

The new stadium will give us more revenue and in term we'll be able to afford bigger salaries, but our revenue will still be absolutely dwarfed by that of Man Utd. We will not be on par with them purely because of the new stadium/matchday revenue. Not even close.

If we were languishing in 6th with a fractured squad and a mountain of debt crippling us slowly then I would be worried but I'm not a Utd fan so I'm quite happy and enjoying the game of 'how to wind up a Utd fan'. The current #1 tactic is to say "I guess we'll have to wait and see who Poch thinks is a bigger club..." The longer the pause at the end the bigger the bite as they describe every trophy won since the 90's

Exactly. Biggest debts in European football and the Glazer's milk cow.

Yes, they will still be above

But dwarfed lolz - wrong use of language mate.

Done the maths - 67% - that’s latest statement spurs and last year Man U considering our revenues massively increasing due to changing business model and there’s is more flatlining - a fair assumption.

Our stadium with it’s duel nature is expected to generate between £150 to £200m according to experts so I expect that gap to narrow further over coming years.

“Peters says all this means that the total event income from the venue, including each Spurs game, could amount to a staggering £150m to £200m per year.
It makes it all the more frustrating for Tottenham that while it continues to play at Wembley it’s missing out on so much of that money.”

I am laughing (at) you.

I’m chuckling mate

You can laugh (at) me or even "lolz" all you like but that doesn't make you right.

Once we're settled into the new stadium then we'll be roughly on par with Arsenal in terms of stadium size, location, and subsequently matchday revenue. And even with the new stadium, which our commercial revenue should increase, it still will be miles behind Man Utd. Put it this way, in the latest figures published (from the 16-17 season) we made 73m quid from commercial deals whereas Man Utd made 276m. That's almost 4 times as much. To use Arsenal as a post-new stadium example again and put it into perspective, they made 91m in commercial revenue that season. Still absolutely miles behind Man Utd.

So hang on a minute, you slag me off and insult me saying I should write for the Sun, and then once I respond and prove that what I'm saying wasn't bollocks, you go back and edit your original post, deleting your comment about me writing for the Sun so that you then can add a link to a sensationalist article printed in.....THE SUN? :ROFLMAO: Fucking hell mate talk about being petty...

And anyway the article you posted doesn't even say what you're trying to make out like it does.

My point was that Hoddle will sit there just like the other pundits and slate us, Jj will at least defend spurs, like I said I only know Hoddle as a manager( for Us, Chelsea and England) so I don’t have him in this pedestal like others, but I’m told I’m ment to do asking where in the pecking order he is.
You never saw Hoddle play, yet you put Bill Nic on the pedestal?
You saw him manage then?
I was there when Hoddle made his debut, and right through to his final match. To this day not one single player has come close to his status with the club, not even King, who for me is a total legend.

You seem to be moving the goalposts to suit your agenda. I suggest you treat yourself to footage of Hoddle playing, there’s plenty of it.
To this day, there isn’t a single English player who even came close to his level of ability, and only maybe 2 or 3 in World Football, one of them being Zidane.

THAT’s how good he was.

And he did it with us because he loved, and still loves, the club.

Everyone wants him to leave us but everyone thinks he's a manager with no bottle or winning mentality.
