Oh how times have changed. This was us as a fan base up until a few years ago.

Late goals are a sign of a team that don’t give up and put pressure on the opposition until the last .

Until we’ve mastered the gooner art of not only scoring late, but from an own goal or triple deflection can we truly enter the realms of jammy ;)

The more bitter and conceited opposition fans are about us the better.

Shows they're a combination of shit scared of us or/jealous.

few posts from kop forum

Annoying tw#t's, if the games lasted 80 minutes they would be fighting relegation.

They will drop point there for sure - but it’s annoying they are hanging around.

In any case we must get back to winning on Monday

Well the unflushable turd won again. Amazing gaffe by Newcastle’s keeper after 83 mins.

I wouldn’t worry about Spurs, as soon as they get close to threatening they always manage to blow it somehow.

Nobody including Spurs in this race? The only downside to the midweek results is that Tottenham's back into a reasonable distance at 7 points adrift. With their injury issues and being a goal down while we were a goal up, they seemed to be dead and buried in the race, but it turned around later and they're right back in. If Man City do fall away as we hope, and if we also stutter, then surely they'd have a sniff later? I've ruled them out many times, and they've just kept coming back. The question is how much longer can they keep up? Surely, both City and us will start dropping more points than the first half of the season, and that will make it easier for Spurs to keep up.

It's satisfying being on this side of the fence. Over the years I've watched so many Arse, Leicester, Chelsea, Utd and Liverpool games hoping for them to drop points only to see them squeeze out late wins while playing shite. Chelsea and Leicester had countless ugly, tight wins in on their way to the title, while we were behind them smashing teams but then dropping silly points here and there.

This season we've probably got a few more points than we deserve but, despite the weaknesses in the squad, we have such a strong mentality that we never give up. This is the real reason Ferguson's teams were so special - their mentality.

Arsenal and Chelsea often play more fluid football than us in short bursts, but they lack grit and determination when things aren't going their way. This season we've really learned how to win ugly, and I think this will give the players a lot of belief going forward.

Really? When?

We've thoroughly deserved the three points we got against each of Fulham, Watford and Newcastle, and I'm struggling to recall a match that we won when we didn't deserve it. In fact you could say that we 'deserve' more points; Watford away and Man. Utd at home spring to mind.

V Fulham and Watford we were by far the better side, never deserved to be losing and through endeavour, ability and tactical tweaking ended up getting deserved wins. V Newcastle the goal might have been lucky but it was still deserved, we dominated from start to finish, and Newcastle only survived that long because of our own profligacy with the Lucas, Lamela and Llorente headers. If anything, I was impressed by our patience, control and belief to keep probing and creating with so little luck, the old Spurs would’ve given up.

Razorist is my favourite, had a tough day:

78 mins

If they win this late again I will quit football all together.

79 mins

I am going to start watching now, so expect a winner in the next 5 minutes

83 mins

Lmao good night

I watched 2 minutes.

Next time I’m gonna make some money.

90 mins:

Anyway I fancy that new fatboy striker from Chelsea to miss a few sitters so looking forward to that

That flukey Origi winner in December against Everton came in the 96th minute.

I think on the whole, we haven't really hit top gear in a lot of matches. I can only pick out a handful of games where we were on fire so to speak. The festive period prior to Wolves, Chelsea, United home though a loss.

I think he was more on about how we ground out wins a lot. Several late goals. If I was a Newcastle fan I'd be feeling that was unlucky after conceding a goalkeeper howler and in the main being pretty solid but also had chances to nick something.
