They started the game in that aweful away strip they had. Second half Fergie made them change (to black i think). The rest is bloody shit history.

don't think United have ever wore their away kit at the Lane. the game your thinking about was Southampton when they changed but still lost.

I was at the game in question, and the drive home that day, felt the longest I ever experienced, and most sickening, made even worst when sitting in traffic 2 mini buses full of United fans sat level with me:cry:

the Man City cup game was the final straw with the wife, since then I have banned her seeing me till the game is over especially if we are winning. unfortunately there has still been times she has ruined the result

Having watched this long awaited game I felt it was one of the best games i’d seen all season. Two teams eager to get the ball forward on the floor with some outstanding performances to go with it. In the end Spurs took their chances very well although I thought 2-0 would have been a fairer score line. Spurs will be favourites to go forward to the next round, but Dortmund are not top of the Bundesliga for nothing.
One final thought , I can’t be the only one on here that thinks Spurs Son is a special player- the modern day Stanley Matthews. Played brilliant all season, gets on with the game, has a great football brain and would love to see him wearing Claret and Blue.( not West Ham !!). I think he should be Player of the Year. Anyone think the same.?

He has it all Malwayne power pace touch and can score from anywhere.
Seriously overlooked because of Kane, Spurs will have over achieved this year and most of that will be down to him.
Just a super footballer

Bardsley will need to tank him early on...

Spurs played far better than they have done in recent league matches, where they've just been grinding out results without Kane and Alli. Maybe the CL is the priority now for them, and they'll not be too fired up by a mundane league match at Turf Moor. Maybe I shouldn't be, but I'm more worried about playing Newcastle than Spurs really.

From 'Up The Claret's':

Harry Kane - Now back in full training. Possible for Saturday. No worries a Ben Mee tackle will slow him down.

I expect him to start on the bench. We're good enough to get something against Spurs.
Since we brought in our better players, we're showing why we finished 7th last season. It was no fluke - we're a top 10 side.

Doubt the will start him, they will think they have enough without risking him, hopefully we will have got 4 before he comes on and bags 3

Tbh even if Kane was fit and playing, it would be Son that I’d be most worried about.
We’ll need somebody fit enough to stick with him and keep him quiet

They have some big games coming. They follow us with Chelsea in the PL and Dortmund the midweek after. I’d only expect him on the bench but I'm with Dusty there is a result waiting for us.

I'll take a point right now!
But a 94th minute goal to win it would be nice.

We are due one against these,we have only tubed them when it didn't matter will be hard but we are capable of it we have grown stronger since our meeting at Wembley and defended very well down their and deserved a draw
Is Dele Alli out still? If so Son and Eriksson are the ones to watch

I assume Kane will be on the bench. To be fair, we coped with Eriksen in particular well enough at Wembley before Christmas, albeit I doubt we'll be playing 5-4-1 again given how well 4-4-2 has worked recently.
I'm assuming we'll set Spurs exactly the same challenge we set Man United - we'll defend deep and narrow, look for Barnes and Wood to hit the channels early and hope that we can get McNeil and Hendrick (who I assume will be left and right) driving onto some second balls/lay-offs on the counter.
This means we'll probably invite crosses, and Spurs are as well equipped as any of the top sides to exploit this, particularly if Llorente plays up front and Trippier is at right back, but we've always got a chance - and I'm particularly looking forward to the potential battle down our left between McNeil and Tripper, Turf Moor protégés old and new.

Love this bit & how they think they can focus on prioritising just keeping 1 player quiet. They opt to go that way & we'll tear them a new one.

From the non-controversially titled 'The race for the title', you'd guess where from...

All the pundits say Man City. At least that's what I've been hearing.
I think it'll be Liverpool. Would rather any other team though.
Spurs will sneak it...
Anyone but Liverpool.
ABL and that includes Spurs.
ABL..... are ****ing serious!? I'd have to live on the moon if Spurs won the title.

100% with you here. Both would be insufferable. They would still find a way to be in contact on the moon. I'd be in the queue to measure the sun's heat with a thermometer, personally.

And again:
I for one hope Liverpool come extremely close... and fall at the final hurdle, like last game of the season and losing on goal difference, from a player diving and winning the dodgiest penalty of all time, after being 10 yards offside during the build up. That will be extremely satisfying. #ScouseTears

Tbf that could be from anywhere.
We're the new Millwall...
No one likes us.

To be fair we would be absolutely insufferable if we won the league. Even my 90yr old american grandmother in-law knows we're 5 points off the top despite two barren transfer windows, injuries to key players and having to play at Wembley.

Handsome bastards don’t brag about being handsome because they just are. We’d be the same if we won the league

Don't dish it out if you can't take it. For the entire summer until the first game of the new season I will bring it up to anyone that will listen, and even those that don't.

What's happening in RAWK now? Meltdown that they can't beat the 2nd best team in Germany this season.
