I’d imagine it’s a rules based thing the mod(s) can set up and I’d probably code it as a regex that replaces the words in the text string before it gets to the database record (for all intents and purposes, before it shows up on the site). Just one take on how to do it though.

Andy, we should start a thread on RegEx! I reckon it would beat the current max post in a thread record!

But back on topic, landlord of my local is a ‘pool fan. Asked if I was watching the final there and asked to make a pact that whoever won didn’t celebrate at the final whistle in the face of the loser ?
I declined and will be watching elsewhere ?

Having just digested that, I think I'm correct in saying (as a layman), that it's magic?

In terms of being underestimated, it's been a recurring theme. Having looked through the opposition forums throughout the campaign, Dortmund acknowledged it would be a good and potentially tough game, but were happy to draw us and ended up losing, Man City were absolutely delighted to draw us but ended up losing too and Ajax were happy to draw us but lost also. Now I'm not saying they were particularly wrong to be happy to draw us, when you look at the other teams they may have gotten but they all certainly thought they would beat us.

We've been somewhat underestimated throughout the whole tournament and look at where we are now. Hopefully with some good and statement-making signings, teams will draw us next season in the same competition and maybe have a slightly different perception on the task that lies ahead of them.

In fairness to Liverpool, they've changed the perception of themselves in Europe quite quickly, they're probably one of if not the last team that others will want to come up against next season in the CL.

Direct quote from a Liverpool fan in the office (lived in London his whole life obviously)

"Spurs have just got lucky in all their CL games so far, they aren't even good. Liverpool live for nights like this and Tottenham are chronic legends."

Its like he gets all his football opinions from TalkSport presenters

They live for these nights?

That will explain their one league cup in the last 10 years then

Liverpool fans already have this won in their eyes and are totally dismissing us. They basically feel if Liverpool turn up, they will win. Will be even more satisfying when they come crashing back down to earth and we lift that CL trophy.
