It'll be really tough, especially with our injuries. Newly promoted sides will be well up for it so we have to at the very least match their hunger.

Yep, that's something we've always found hard to achieve really. To match the 'smaller' teams hunger.

I've said it before and I'll say again we need to treat every team exactly the same, doesn't matter if its Norwich, Manure, Arse or Stoke. We should always have the same hunger to beat them, but like you say its something we seem to find hard to do.

Yea I agree. I've said it before also but sometimes we stink of naivety.

I don't think the Norwich view is particularly offensive, or outrageous. They are playing well, at home and have to believe they have a chance, especially with our injury list.

If they turn up thinking they will just be making up the numbers, they are doing themselves a disservice.

Its a bit like us v Madrid 2nd leg. You have to believe.

Norwich are good with an outstanding manager. They are very strong at home and play football -- none of that stoke rugby rubbish

Tough match, Spurs will need to get on them early and stay on the front foot.

Can't find anything yet though  hopefully tomorrow or someone else may find something. So as a replacement (for now), the reaction of our closest rivals after/during our last game with Norwich.

Bale is a monster, people can keep calling him one dimensional but he isn't really, he's a brilliant player and Mancini has even fawned over him before but doing business with Spurs is nearly out of the question.
There is going to be an earthquake tonight. It will be caused by the media wank-fest and it will go on until Spuds lose again.
They have been excellent to be fair.....
spurs are breathtakingly superb when they want to be.

Super performance tonight, if they had their shooting boots on they'd have 8.

Norwich to be fair have done well and if they had a cutting edge some of their round the edge of the box would have lead to really good chances, they'll be ok if they can add 1 or 2 more players.

Spurs though, god I wish we could move the ball with that much pace sometimes, pace is the one thing we still lack and it scares defences shitless, and with Aguero, Dzeko or Balo on the end we'd be so, so deadly.

Not saying we should just shift how we play cos Spurs play well against average teams, but yesterday if we'd had 2 pacy wingers who could cross on the bench we could have shifted to a clear plan B and really panicked and pulled WBA out of their comfort zone, sometimes we get a bit one paced and too much in front of the brick wall of the opponent's back 8, but if you can turn them against their own goal that's when they start to struggle, Spurs and United do that so effectively, all I'm saying is when our way doesn't work shifting to a quicker style of play would be a good option.

If spurs can replace Harry with Carlo and give him a wad of cash without the politics of Abramovich I see no reason why they can't be a regular title challenging team and up against us and the rags for the next few seasons, they have a great squad with some great football, all they need is those 2 to 3 top class additions plus a manager who can put that big team mentality in them like Carlo to really make them challengers.

Spurs got so many good players, what a great job Harry's done for them.
Spurs are beginning to believe. 4 points ahead of Chelsea, 5 points ahead of Arsenal, 7 points ahead of Liverpool with a game in hand, with equal or better goal difference than all 3 teams, only 7 points off the joint top two.

IF they win their game in hand, they build a good lead with the rest of the pack and they have Swansea, West Brown, Everton at home, and Wolves, all winnable matches. They'll have to visit a lot of tough places in the new year though. Here's to hoping they'll get the 3rd place.
They could realistically be 10 points clear of the chasing pack by the time they've played their game in hand against Everton, if they beat them and win the rest of their games, as you would expect just from looking at the paper.

It probably won't be that straight forward, but they're in a very good position to snatch a place in the top 3 this season.
They would really need that difference in points as after those games they face top 8 + Everton away and Wigan home in the coming nine matches. Arsenal,Liverpool,Manc,Chelsea all away.
Man City (a), Wigan (h), Liverpool (a), Newcastle (h), Arsenal (a), Man utd (h), Everton (a), Stoke (h), Chelsea (a), Swansea (h)

Got to say, I think people are being a little over the top about the run. Involves some difficult games for sure and will be the hardest run of games we'll encounter over the season. But every single hard away game is followed by a very winnable home game, apart from the Arsenal game. But at least we're playing you at home and not at OT, which, more often than not, we may as well not even bother turning up for.

So even if we lose every one of those hard away games (which we won't), we still have games to break a run of losses. 4 points from the aways would be adequate. And unlike you, Chelsea and Arsenal, we don't have any European matches either.

Not to mention, it leaves a tasty looking run in involving Sunderland, Norwich, Bolton, QPR, Blackburn, Villa and Fulham to end the season.

As for tonight, excellent performance and a well controlled away match. Our away record is, I believe, only bettered by yours. An uncharacteristically relaxing match to watch.
Highlighted because it was a point I was going to make also, after our tough games we have great chances to get right back on track.

Fuck off, Tottenham
yup there's that shit / overhyped / 1 dimensional Bale at it again. Only 7g and 5a in half a season as a wide man ...... he's completely shit yup. And no he didn't score a hat trick in a half down a man at the San Siro, that never would happen ....

Bale is ridiculously good. Don't hate.
I said it a few weeks ago that Spurs have arguably the second best squad in England with depth and I think they'll finish 2nd if they don't fade off and can find another goal scorer for Ade.
Spurs are fucking good.

Won't have the bottle to win the title tho.

Only one side does!
4th is between us, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Spurs are better than all three of us.

Van Persie gets injured and Arsenal are fucked.
And the best of the bunch, Arsenal....

1-0 Spuds

Bale

**** off.
What the fack has happened with Tottenham? They will be playing CL next season.

F*ck this.
If this stays the same they will be five points ahead with a game in hand.

I don't know what is more annoying them keep winning or us throwing away points against teams we should be beating comfortably.

They have hardly thrown away any points this season to lower teams, even when Stoke beat them they were the better team
So they're 5 points ahead of us with a game in hand against Everton at home. They should win that and that'll be 8. **** off.
Spurs also have 3 very winnable home games in a row, before they are away to Man City. I could see them collecting 9 points and I have a feeling we will slip up against Fulham. They could very well have a double digit lead on us in January.
The core of our first team is great, but injuries to three of those at any one time and we are down to Chamakh, Fabianski and Rosicky who are just not good enough.

Man u had there fourth choice striker starting yesterday, for the first time in ages, and he scores a hat-trick.
I can't imagine our second and third choice strikers, Chamakh and Park scoring three between them all season.

Anyone who thinks spuds are going to have a bad patch and we will catch them up better remember, there is more chance of us having a bad patch and them increasing their lead.

I honestly think, unless there is a massive change, we are not going to be above them at the end of the season.

Season after season all our best players have left, we have failed to replace them and they have done exactly what we should have been doing, buying experienced, players that do not need a season to adjust to the EPL.

Wengers project over the last six season has failed miserably, and unless he goes out and buys 2-3 players that we need we won't be playing CL football next season.
Even if he does we have to rely on spuds messing it up, which looks less and less likely
For the first time in Wenger's tenure, Spurs are better than Arsenal.

They've surpassed us while Wenger kept busy sitting on his hands doing **** all.
Only an injury to Bale would hurt Spurs for me. They do over-rely on running power to win games but they've pretty much have one target for the season
Hmmm... Reminds me of a certain player at your club too

All very complimentary, the only thing that can prevent us finishing third or higher is injuries.
