Phil Thompson's comment just now on Soccer Saturday was even better than all of these.

He said.. not a single chelsea player would get in our side, and nearly everyone seemed to agree with him! fooking excellent.

Just to elaborate a bit, the general opinion on SS, was that we are 'the best' team in the premier league. I know we all have our own view on our beloved team, but it's brilliant to hear the know-alls say it!!

Be honest, when I saw the fixtures I did think that Xmas time would be best to play the lower sides. Their squads can't cope with a congested calendar.

It's very nce to think that we would be treated like the goons and utd have for years, getting easier wins then the rest of us

I don't understand why the FA makes clubs register a squad, then penalises the teams for using them registered players - it makes no sense whatsoever, and Blackpool had every right to feel aggrieved at the attention they received when they made 9 changes.

Totally agree, especially when they have another game in 2 days. If they start putting a youth side then fair enough but if it's members of their 25 man squad then they should play whoever they choose.

Hard to believe maybe, but this is a ground we don't do too badly at!
3 wins & 3 draws in the last 10 visits I believe?- even if the last win there was 7 visits back, and Spurs are flying high.

Sure to be goals, dare say they will get most of any going, but dv just might go for a draw.. The away form isn't that bad, but looks like there's a few injuries around.

spurs have had 2 more days rest than us.plus we have key injuries.spells defeat 4-1

we will get chances against spurs,but will our tentative strike force be able to make the most of them.
our back four was solid on sunday,and didn't look like conceding till Mr Scharner intervened !

I reckon our fans will be nervous from the start for this one. Have to be patient though, there were worrying signs there against Swansea as some of the players looked absolutely knackered, I can only hope that the WB players are even worse and that we can win it in the first half.

I remember how that feels, but i do think they're a bit of a downer considering the way results have been going generally over this festive period. I expect Swansea didn't go into the game against us, even at home, realistically expecting anything out of it - resolved to try their hardest to get something, but expecting and earning are entirely different fish-filled kettles.

I get surprised everytime with Gervinho's and Walcott's shooting technique and decision making. Absolutely horrendous.

Their away record is actually pretty good, only us, two Manc clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle have better...

Arry vs Woy, what's their head to head record like? I think Arry's generally come out on top in his Spurs tenure hasn't he? We did the double over pool last season, beaten West Brom once this season, and a win and a draw vs Fulham in 2009-2010 season.
