Well, the goodness news is that none of their fans have overreacted..

I get his frustration but it's all very similar to when Danny Rose conceded a penalty and got sent off for a completely fair tackle at 0-1 in a game they went on to win 1-5 two seasons ago.

I've no sympathy for fans of City, Utd and Chelsea when these things happen - they all benefit more often than they suffer. And with all that money they've got its not like we're all starting on a level playing field in the first place is it?

Not sure they have much to complain about, their goal looked JUST off side as well. Granted, walker was a mile off, but It's about time we got a little luck

Seriously though, is it really that intimidating and dangerous? When last did someone get a kicking at or around WHL for being a goon (or anything else)?

Its not the fucking 90's anymore, this shit just doesn't happen anymore does it? It's all just bluster and bollocks and singing ... i'd be astonished if a single opposition supporter got so much as a push these days.

Or am I wrong?

Wrong mate. Ive seen a goner come running out of the away end shouting all sorts and then 3 blokes beat the shit out of him. Seen guys jump though police lines just to get a punch through to them. This is just at the gates, let alone further down seven sisters, where it defiantly goes off.

I do get it but I think jumping random fans etc is just plain fucking stupid. If like minded peope want a scrap then no problem, its when your average bloke with his missus or even worse kids, gets abuse etc. That's the problem.

I remember seeing some Spurs blokes beat the shit out of an OAP Barnsley fan who was with his granddaughter. All because he had the gall to wear a Barnsley shirt.

Stopped me from going for years.

I find it hard to read that from a city fan, knowing full well they won more than their fair share of games and getting draws from games they didn't deserve, down to refereeing decisions that went their way. They can't complain at all with the result and one could argue that some decisions didn't go their way but they've won points because of bad refereeing and no one ever complained at that and merely said they deserved it anyway. So to be on the other end of a hiding and bad refereeing must seem all the more unacceptable to them I guess, but a lot of other teams get that and it's all forgotten about, so they and their fans have nothing to complain about.

I also think it's petty and protective of the team when Manuel does an interview and uttered "offside Tottenham goals" on at least 2 occasions yet cheekily never mentioned their own goal was offside too.

It didn't bother me cos I know this result means nothing in the grand scheme of things as the season is long and full of unfair decisions both for and against us.
We have to take the good with the bad. ...... Just like the rest of the other teams should.

The LFC Community‏@LFCCommunity
Spurs signed Lloris from Lyon and Eriksen from Ajax. Liverpool signed Mignolet from Sunderland and Lallana from Southampton. #thedifference

Sandy Hernandez ⚽ ‏@sandyyy09 Sep 23
@LFCCommunity Sorry but there is no difference there mate

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: How deluded do you have to be in order to believe Mignolet and Lallana are just as good as Lloris and Eriksen?
Maybe he's saying that where you sign players from makes no difference? The alternative is too ridiculous to contemplate...

Yep and Dimichaelis should have been given a second yellow for the foul on Lamela.

As fans they need to learn how to lose again. They used to be pretty good at it. Shame.

Agree with riggi, just random fans getting attacked.

On Wednesday night young lad was getting some serious abuse, looked like it was going to get violent.
Probably about 20 Spurs v 1 arsenal bloke who looked petrified, clearly just a normal bloke.

I asked if he wanted to walk with me, but he ran straight to the old bill.

At the end of the day, yes, we got to one-one with a goal coming from an off-side that the linesman should have flagged for...their defending of the cross that came in was pathetic. Also, regardless of the decision, they were one-one at half-time and they had everything to play for. Instead of using the 'injustice' to spur themselves on to win a tough away game, they just capitulated and got their bellies tickled in the second half. Maybe their fans should be more angry at that. After all, it does sound a bit ridiculous when you're angry about ONE goal in a 4-1 defeat.

From Rawk, their PL General Football thread re our game against City:

Quote from: rob1408 on Yesterday at 01:11:11 PM
De Bruyne is going to be outstanding for them lot, a tad offside, but the lad can finish.

He's the opposite of Sterling. Looks cool and calm in possession, always seems to feel he knows what he wants to do with the ball and clinical. Vastly more effective in the final third.

Going to be very hard for Tottenham now, Kane has been firing blanks for a while and he was their only decent scorer last season.

Walker and Lamela, I don't know if there's a worse right side partnership in the Premier League

I've no idea how the linesman missed that. Such an obvious offside.

City defence slow to react too. Actually terribly sloppy from de Bruyne

This is what I was repeatedly saying last season, no end product. It is always pick the ball up, cut inside, lose the ball and sulk a little. Massive 'home grown' inflated transfer fee but little to show for it.

Feels a little dirty wanting Spurs to win this one, but someone has to peg back City and Spurs are usually good for a few disastrous results in a season.

Hart out injured?

Spurs have impressed me this season. Their points total haven't matched what they have shown in their performances.

They were brilliant against Everton recently too.

Unlike us, there is no stagnation surrounding them. You can see progression.
