Buffon to Juventus in 2001 for £32.6m Man Utd bought David De Gea for £18.9m in 2011...Ederson moves to Man City for £35m...Bravo to City £17.1m...Neuer to Bayern Munich £15.7m

Trying to use the above information as some sort of yardstick what realistic value would you put on Hugo Lloris ?.
I am by no means recommending in any way that we sell this guy but if you had to put a price on his head what would it be ?...he has to be in the current top five keepers I would imagine so if Ederson can command £35m I reckon we are looking at a minimum of £50m for our beloved Frenchman. Anyone disagree ?

The best keeper we've had in my lifetime. Priceless. It's just a shame people get so hung up on his kicking, forgetting or ignoring the fact that every keeper in sides that require building from the back are also accused of this by their respective fans.

If only priceless were true my friend but come on...put a value on his head...

It's really dependant on who was after him and if he wanted to go.

Given his age a minimum of £30m, a max of £50m, depending on the situation I suppose. Though I'd be gutted to see him leave for any amount of money.

Not for sale, and why are we even discussing it?

I never said for one minute that he was for sale....my house is not for sale but it still has a value....determined by the recent sales of similar properties. So bearing in mind Ederson has a current valuation of £35m in comparison how would you value Lloris ?

Here's an interesting link to the whole squad not so long ago....now these valuations really are 'priceless' now I reckon !

Are you Hoops in disguise? :cautious:
This has me totally intrigued as it was a question I received a few days ago from someone else. I am not this "Hoops" character and can only hope that he re-appears soon to prove it. So if you are still out there Hoops please let us know you are alive and well....very soon !!

PS
Just done a member search on this person and if you mean Hoopspur then he posted something yesterday morning....

No, he means 'Hoops', a member who might be sitting at his PC casually picking his nose and flicking bogies across the room when a completely random thought eventually enters his head and he's so chuffed he starts a thread on it :D

His age is pretty irrelevant, based on the likes of Cech and Buffon he has another six years minimum at the top level. Long contract, captain, international. Minimum £50m.

Thankfully he's massively underrated by many so he's not going anywhere. And if he does it will be to wind down his career in france I suspect with his family.

To us i feel he is worth £50m+

To suitors he is probably more like £30m

This is why he wont be sold anytime soon

I've been a big Lloris fan and I still am, he and Ginola are the only Frenchmen I've ever actually tolerated. But I will say that I'm ever so slightly disturbed by some major errors and lack of judgement towards the end of the season. I trust though that it was only coincidence, as we will need him at his very highest next season.

SPAM definition :

So just how was this thread heading doing any of the above ??....advertising ? Phishing ...an illegal attempt to 'fish' for your private sensitive data ?? and spread malware...(definition) software which is specifically designed to disrupt, damage, or gain authorized access to a computer system.

Please Tucker, in future put dislike or disagree ...even WTF!?....or Doh ! but at least understand what it is you are posting....Negative I can cope with....mind bogglingly inappropriate I struggle with.

It's a stock set of tags which any Xenforo administrator can buy for a groat, and many of them have acquired a specific meaning here. Often these are contradictory. "Creative" for instance, means far-fetched, unconvincing, intellectually lazy, or simply creative. "Funny" means I laugh with you, or at you. Or possibly both. Context is all, and ambiguity is a handy refuge.

"Spam" means, more or less: this post is without merit, and it reflects an opinion which contributes nothing of value to the discussion. It suggests that the post is not worth disagreeing with. But there are infinite nuances which an SC ethnographer could articulate at length.

@Krule - now that you understand the tags, I'll just have to guess whether you meant "informative", "uninformative and trite" or "I acknowledge that you've replied, and no other tag feels quite right".

Many thanks from someone who can remember his first work pay packet containing groats . It's just that I totally understand like/dislike...agree/disagree and all the other options but to categorise a thread in which I asked members for their valuation of the Spurs goalkeeper as 'Spam' which bears no correlation to the word's actual English / Oxford Dictionary definition just doesn't compute with me !
So instead of having to see underlying subtle differences in or shade of meaning, expression or sound....(i.e. nuance) if you think a posting is crap and dont have an emoticon of a face sitting on the toilet then just declare it as crap...I'll understand....(waits for the 'crap' response)...

No I really meant that your post was informative...if the tag doesn't exist then why try and 'bend' another into shape...just say it as it is !
