What the pundits & media are saying about us

The fact is they gained an advantage from a handball, deliberate or not. I think that should be a foul.

City should have finished one of their umpteen other chances or actually defended on the two occasions we got into the final third. Then they wouldn’t have to worry about this.
Could not agree with this sentiment more.

People are seemingly more bothered by a 'created' drama than the sport itself. For me, personally, it's diminishing the sport.

For me that has been the case for as long as I can remember.

I really wish the pundits and post match commentary would focus more on the stats and overall play rather than individual moments.

I listened to radio commentary and at one point the commentator said City can get back level at the top of the table this afternoon.,.....ten seconds passed....and so could Tottenham of course, it's not that they disrespected us it's just that it's very much City centric when they are talking about it all.

To be fair they probably expected City to win, as did most of us.

If this thread could go back to being about what the pundits are saying about us (Spurs), that would be excellent.

There's a thread in general football about the ins and outs of VAR and the match thread is full of it, this stuff doesn't need to be in here at all. Thanks.

I have SSN on the screens in my office, but naturally with the sound muted. But I can see Neville and Cchaarracccgher practically bursting blood vessels, so indignant they appear over the decisions on Saturday. Can anyone relay what they were hopping about?

According to today's news on my phone Neville was for the decision and I would assume Carragher was against although why he would be I've no idea. After all we took 2 points of their "ONLY" challenger for the title. We as usual will be dismissed as challengers.

Carragher and Neville both agreed it was the correct decision on MNF. Gary was moaning about VAR not overruling the referee on subjective calls.

I see Champagne Charlie Fuck Nut has got the Sky Premier League predictions gig from that wise old footballing owl Merson this season...

Newcastle lacked ambition and togetherness against Norwich but you can't just point the finger at Steve Bruce and say it's because Rafa Benitez has gone, because they started slow last season too. It takes this team a bit of time to get going. Joelinton had no service at all and Miguel Almiron was the same. He is about pace and counter-attacking but couldn't get in the game.

I was not impressed with Newcastle, but I think Bruce will be working with them all week to say 'this isn't good enough, if we sit in and wait to get beaten then we will get beaten'. They need to have more ambition when they have the ball. The problem is I don't see them getting enough of the ball to trouble Spurs.

Spurs will be quite happy with the way they have started. They were lucky to get a draw against Manchester City but I think this will be a comfortable win.

CHARLIE PREDICTS: 4-0

I'd be happy with that!

The culture of the game we all love going down the shitter, maybe? Just a guess.
