I can't believe the amount of people who underestimate continuity and stability. No sweeping changes, but a young and very talented group of players who are being kept together and will continue to grow along with a few very shrewd signings to improve the depth of the squad in terms of quality options in all areas now covered

Wow, could not agree more.

I can't believe the amount of people who just don't get this yet. We are so lucky to have poch, how he has changed the mentality of the club from grass roots to the top is simply staggering.

I have been a spurs fan like many of you I'm sure, for a very long time and I am struggling to think of a time when we have had this sort of stability and this real belief we have in our youngsters. Long may it continue.

Look up the word troll dear Lufti, just because I call out your shit posts, doesn't mean I'm a troll :p

Erm. Okay, in your world maybe. In reality, you're the biggest troll on the site. Love to know which posts you're referring to, you've only made yourself look stupid every time you've tried to interact with me. By calling me out, do you mean trying to have a stab at me about Liverpool being good while 2-0 up against Newcastle only for them to go on to lose? Keep that up (y)

You're still referring to this, still? I can't believe you've held a grudge against me for so long for God's sake - it's a fucking forum, listen to yourself :D

PM me and stop adding nonsense to this thread please, cheers.

Still? I've never referred to this before. I don't hold a grudge against you - I think you're an absolute clown but I don't hold a grudge. Since you said 'let's squash it' I haven't rated or responded to a single one of your posts, you're the one who restarted it by spamming my only post in weeks.

Wasn't this thread and it was one joke. Don't act like you're some sort of white knight who goes around the whole forum and spams all off-topic posts for the good of SC. Anyway, bored of you again now.

Our starting eleven on paper is as good as any in the league. If they all stay fit for the entire season, we will finish in the top 4. The bigger issue for us is squad depth. We had a horrid record when Dembele was out last season. We also had good health compared to City and Arsenal. Could we cope with Lamela/Eriksen/Dembele/Kane missing huge swaths of games and still be in the title picture? Hopefully we won't have to find out. I will say that I don't expect Poch to rotate much between the league and CL. I think only Wanyama will be moved in and out of the first eleven, with Janssen/Son/Chadli being our primary substitutes used.

As for our rivals, I think if Pogba and Mkhitaryan hit the ground running, United are slight favorites if they more or less play their second team in Europa. City have the best overall squad with elite attacking depth, but they will need Gundogan 100% fit to really push on in multiple competitions. Liverpool's attack is going to have a different element with Mane's pace, and I expect without Europa that they and Chelsea will be right in the top 4 mix, too. Arsenal, without further signings, are ripe to have a poor season in my opinion. They will be entirely reliant on Sanchez being their main man, and they are still short at centre-back, too. I expect West Ham, Southampton, Leicester, and Everton to all have decent seasons. I also expect Watford, Swansea, and Sunderland to surprise people early on and fight for a top 10 place.

Baffles me that at the start of every season that the bookies think Liverpool will do better than us.

Bookies odds are partly based on their own analysis and partly based on volume of bets. Liverpool have a huge fan base who all like to bet on Liverpool winning the title. A large volume of bets for one outcome increases the financial risk for a bookie if it comes true, so they will adjust the odds to make the payout less if it happens.

All good points in general but can I be the first to point out that Pogba is still a Juventus player. Looks like the deal will be done but may go down to the wire so he may miss a handful of games and with a much reduced pre-season
