What the pundits & media are saying about us

So many people mention this "if we aren't winning trophies" thing. What about when we start winning trophies, we are more than capable of winning plenty in the next 3 years and I expect us too. After all we have one of the very best strikers in world football and a team of class players, great manager and a great squad.
If you we swapped personnel with City, UTD or Chelsea no one would mention the not winning stuff about them, they'd assume they would be winning trophies regularly.

its rare but who you win trophies for and how you win them can count for a lot more than sheer quantity. Bale will be able to look at his champions leagues medals when he retires but will Madrid fans remember him even a couple of years after he's gone. Just another one in the conveyor belt of top players.

I don't think he is naive enough to think we will be winning titles and Champions leagues year in year out but would he would value 1 title with us far more than multiple with Madrid etc as a fan would.

Plus he loves that Turkish kebab place in Chigwell!

You have to be some kind of special player to have Real Madrid after your services. And being made the world's most expensive player at the time of the transfer is also something he will have proud and bold on his CV. If your analogy had been made using a "money" club like PSG or Man City, it would have had more weight, I feel.

Agree - I meant to emphasise as a fan of the club which Harry is - being remembered as a hero here and winning things - but less than at a Madrid etc might actually mean more to him than winning lots of medals but not really being thought of as a club legend. All speculation but he has hinted as much in the past

I think the issue is they never talk about other team's players like this.

I listened to him and he keeps saying things like "if Tottenham stagnate", "if the manager leaves", "if they never win anything", "blah blah blah" it's all negative. We have yet to even give anyone the idea of stagnating. We're constantly developing tactically, as a team, and as individuals. Our arrow has been pointing up more than any other team in this division. So why even mention it?

Imagine if he talked about United players like this, City players like this (who also won fuxk all last year). I mean fuck me look at Liverpool, it's been a long time since they've won something and we've completely overtaken them in the league and they genuinely do look like stagnating. Their offense is great and the defense is poor and they basically look exactly like the team from last year. Yet not a pip about Mane needing to leave, heck most were upset with Coutinho thinking he needed to leave and thought he was showing a lack of loyalty FFS. Where's all the bits about them needing to win something or their players and manager will leave?

Fecking bang on!!(y)

The thing is City have won a fuck load more than us in the last 10 years. UTD won the Europa last year, despite how crap they were. For me personally competing for the league and getting close two years in a row is better than finished 5-8th and winning the league cup. We need to be in the champions league to grow financially and build a team that will win trophies. If we keep Poch the trophies will eventually come I've got no doubt.
And Liverpool?

Alan Sugar had a go at Jame Redknapp and Teddy Sheringham who were Sky's pundits for our game against the spammers.

They were saying that Harry Kane has to be paid the highest salary in the league or he will go.

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...td-and-chelsea-now-a-premier-league-top-three

Utterly ridiculous article here, this has been the pundits/paper journos wet dream so far this season, only team missing out of their little top 4 club now is Liverpool, how they would love that.

United and City have started well, no doubt about that, Chelsea are always going to be up there with the squad they have but to say that this is a "top 3" now just because United and City have had good starts to the season is ridiculous.

City had a good start last year and I seem to remember United not doing badly either, now I know they are improved from last year no doubt about it but to say that suddenly it's just a top 3 is not only an insult to the clubs around them but it's a massive slap in the face to us, the team that has gained more points than any club over the last two seasons.

Have these pundits even considered that United and City might hit a rough patch of form and fall into old habits? The fixtures have been very favourable to United so far let's face it.

The idea of United getting back to the top level again makes me sick because it only takes a few good results for the pundits to be jacking themselves silly over them, same with Liverpool, same with City etc seems these clubs have to do far less than some other clubs to get all the plaudits.

@RickyVilla do you and any of the other 2-3 posters that constantly give me funny ratings on every single post I make ever have anything to actually say? Or are you just a little pack of trolls? It's honestly getting really boring right now, I had to put my profile on private because one of you sad no lifers literally went back over 2 months worth of posts to rate one funny.

Just think about how sad that, I know you guys probably think it's funny to wind posters up with ratings but the truth is, you aren't, you are just making yourselves look childish because you never actually have a discussion or debate.

If you take issue with what I am saying, tell me why or leave a disagree rating instead.
Great post until the end when you moaned about getting positive ratings then you lost me brah

And Liverpool?

Only just seen this, but it's opportune timing with Mane getting linked to Real Madrid and you can't have missed Coutinho getting linked with Barca...

Fact is money is what keeps players and money wouldn't stop our players going to real or barca which is pretty much the only club we would sell to.

I haven't heard any football news state Mane should leave for Madrid? Which one said it?

The Coutinho saga almost proved my point. There were nearly as many opinions against the move as there were for it. Some saying it would be unloyal and that Liverpool were on the up so he should stay. Don't remember a single opinion like that being spouted about Kane or Alli.

In answer to your question I do find some of your posts amusing. That is why I rate them that way. You take a lot of this stuff way to seriously. You should take a leaf out of @MattyP 's book. Have a beer and sleep with some prostitutes.
