Not pundits, but this is the latest bollocks the DM are spouting.... Based entirely on United winning the Europa, and other high level teams winning their play-offs:

"Nearly, but not quite after another season of progress for Mauricio Pochettino's emerging young team.
Spurs have an outstanding core of young, English players.
If they can keep them together, add to the squad, and find a way to win at Wembley then a trophy will surely come soon. But they now need to win something.
McNulty's pre-season prediction: 5th
What he said: "Tough call this one as Pochettino's side were excellent last season and were right in the title shake-up for so long. In reality, you could throw a blanket over the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal in the battle for top-four places."
Managerial mark: Mauricio Pochettino - 7/10.
Stat: Tottenham scored more goals and conceded fewer than any other team in the Premier League, beating champions Chelsea's goal difference by eight"
Mangerial mark of 7/10??? That's the same that he's given to Klopp, Koeman, Eddie Howe, Craig Shakespeare, Allardyce and Sean Dyce. What an absolute helmet!
So Liverpool will have to qualify and will get an "easier" group? Why will Man Ure get into pot two having failed to qualify for the past two seasons whereas we have?
I reckon we'd have given a better account of ourselves this year had we been drawn in one of the supposed 'tougher' groups, as it was we just seemed pretty apathetic to it all.Barcelona and Bayern will both be bricking it if they end up in the same group as us

Not sure if these quotes are true, but how refreshing if they are.
also note how they put a negative spin on what it means for Spurs, when Liverpool are in the same boat as us

Interesting article by JJ although I disagree with what he say about paying Walker and other players more money.

Well first thing is, Man City are crazy.
Walker is not worth 100,000 a week. We can't afford Man City, Barca, Madrid type wages players know that when they sign up.
The trouble is we'll end up with Juventus or Real MadridBarcelona and Bayern will both be bricking it if they end up in the same group as us
I have no idea but if thats the case, I don't see him getting a pay rise.Walker is on 75k isn't he? That's what the stories about his new contract all said last September
