I've never liked him as a pundit.
Always talks utter shit and comes across as a total prick as well.
I wouldn't say thats a recent thing at all.

He's an absolute moron. Don't understand how he's managed to last so long as a pundit. One of the absolute worst IMO. Offers absolutely zero interesting insight and comes out with absolute bollocks 99% of the time. Sometimes it's like he's trolling or something the crazy nonsense he comes out with. Absolutely steeling a living from the BBC.

I don't care that he used to play for us, the bloke's a fucking idiot.

Anyone else notice how many times the pundits come out with "this felt like a watershed moment" about us this season. They seem to say it every other week and they don't get the irony. Dortmund at home, Madrid both games, Utd home, Liverpool away and now Juve. They really need to just get used to the idea that this Spurs side deserves it's place at the top table.

You're not wrong but I think it has grown by degrees, last night watching the BT panel it really did look like the penny had not only dropped but the fruit machine lit up and paid out, Ferdinand and Gerrard weren't just passing glib cliches, there was an element of disbelief that it could be so but they couldn't convince themselves otherwise.
I also enjoyed hearing Glenn Hoddle saying "we" when he got excited.:)

Yep. Almost like they have no clue and are talking out of their arse isn't it? Did chuckle when they posted our next 3 fixtures up (Dale, Palace, Hudd) before suggesting that this was another test, to see if we could get up for these games as well as Juve, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U. How many tests are there? Just needs Rio to start referencing Kafka and Stevie Gbh to regale us with the myth of sisyphus and I'm done.

Come on mate, we all know the real test will come in our preseason tour of Australia after destroying everyone and winning the CL.

Don’t worry, we’ll be back to all our players have to leave to forefill their destiny by the weekend.

Every season they do the same thing, we have a good result then through gritted teeth they say “This was a great performance from spurs, BUT I thought (insert team here) were poor.

Then they will say “Spurs have turned a corner here, this was a performance of maturity” which again they have said about 30 times in the last 2 seasons only for them to forget about it a week later and start flogging all our players and manager off again.

I don’t think they can wrap their heads around the fact that we are looking like a team that is going to dominate for years if we continue at our current rate, they don’t like it because it isn’t the “Historical Liverpool” or “YANITED” they also don’t like it because we are doing it the right way without spending ridiculous money, you would think that would be something to be applauded, I mean they all utterly creamed their undercrackers when Leicester won the league didn’t they?

Most of the pundits can’t seperate their bias from the reality, most of them live in the past as well and people like Lineker are just typical celebrities, living in a bubble and kissing the arse of the money sides.

But the most important thing is, I genuinely don’t think our players give a shit what people think or our manager and that was more evident last night than ever before.

We don’t fear anybody and quite frankly we shouldn’t, as long as our attitude as a team and as supporters remains that way then who gives a fuck what these twats stealing a living think?

Fuck em, COYS.

If we get CL qualification next year then I am pretty confident we won’t lose any of the key players. However, Kane now has a taste of CL knockout footy and seeing his name up there with likes of Ronaldo, Messi etc in the goal scoring stats might mean he is not prepared to miss out on it again. I think Kane loves spurs but we have to be able to give him the platform he deserves.

Le Tissier had a pop at Kane on SSN earlier for diving first half. He said he needs to kick it out of his game. He said he had to mention it because it’s not fair people keep mentioning foreigners diving and not the English players. Not sure if he’s been awake the last 2 weeks....!

I’ll let him off, he’s generally ok Le Tiss. Certainly the best out of the fuck-knuckles on Soccer Saturday.

I disagree, I think his biggest target is Shearers record. As long as he thinks he can still get that with us, i think he will stay.

NOBODY remembers every player of every squad that ever won the League cup. EVERYONE knows Shearer is the all time top PL scorer

**Its taken a long time to drill this into my head and make myself think i think itll happen

.....he gets a free pass from me due to his continuous mocking of Pool fans on twitter. It's funny watching them overreact to everything he says.

Yeah. It's one of the reasons other teams' fans get pissed off too. Every thing is declared a huge moment.

The point being that, while it's incredible what the club has done, no matter how we got there – if Kane is now top scorer every year and a £250m striker, Alli could go to Madrid, Eriksen could go to Barca, Dembele lusted by all and sundry, etc etc - why shouldn't we belong at the top table? No team in the world could afford to buy this team. And therefore why is each incremental moment of progress jumped upon so much when so much is expected of others?

At what point does the sum of this team's parts eclipse the sums paid for it and get judged on its quality now, rather than what was spent years ago?

It's an interesting area. Everyone's a bank manager now, football has become so much about finances. The biting point between money and footballing talent is rarely so on-show as it at Spurs, you can see the gears turning, the decisions having to be made to keep forward momentum, it's really quite a thing.

Agree 100%. Any time we beat a 'big' team, that team were always 'under par' or 'not at the races' or 'had an off day'.

We rarely get enough credit.
