Nice to see Gerrard, Lampard and Ferdinand all laugh off Barzagli's double-stamp, double kick on Son in the first half as if deliberately trying to injure an opponent was the most hilariously slapstick thing ever.

Ferdinand saying we have to step up and win something and we failed again, fucking prick. Like his input generally but they always have to have a dig. It’s a game of football, one wins and one loses. They all thought we were the bette4 team in both ties so why the statement. Knock your old team for being shit and boring.

I can’t see where he is having a dig. Whatever you want to say, he is a certified winner, and earned the right to give his qualified opinions, and knowing him anyway, he is very complimentary of us, in the media also.

We do need to step up! And will do for sure. We need that extra special quality to accompany Moura. And I do hope we can get that German center half, at the expense of Toby also. Our mental concentration needs to step up further. Though we have come on leaps and bounds. When they changed 442, we were all over the shop, and didn’t know what to do, including Poch. I personally thought to bring on Llorente instead of Moura was a bad decision, though Hoddle agreed with it.

Well at least we haven't shelled out £400 million and get stuffed by a less than scary Real Madrid side. Perhaps we can enter the French or Italian leagues then we could walk away with trophies.

mate --- respect your input but have to disagree on a couple of points:
we really weren't all over the shop....mistake for the second but look, by contrast at the host of chances we missed from Kane rounding Buffon to Sonny x about 3 to Kane again to that header. We had them on the ropes, Chilleni throwing himself desperately around (and brilliantly I will add) --- last gasp stuff from them.
Llorente gets some crucial flick ons but they don't quite lead to that all important goal.

Not sure which German center half you mean but am still hoping for Toby, would love to have seen a back 3 with a DM as an option.

Anyhow COYS!!!

Thats fine, but when I put the telly on to hear about another win, the pundits spend 2 mins talking about the game and 10 minutes about our players and manager leaving. Its cliche and boring.

that was never more stark than Soccer Saturday after the Real Madrid win. That twat Shreeves, didn't even spend 2 mins discussing the win. It was all about when Poch would go and which players he'd take with him

I honestly don't mind if they go hard on us this time around. We had it in our hands, but we lacked the initiative to seal the deal. Pochetino forgot that it was our pressing game what made us look so impressive on the away game.

We deserved to get knocked out, and Juventus deserved to go through.

Spursy is doing the rounds again FFS.

But that wasn't Spursy, we had a slender margin, away goals only, and were ontop until a tactician changed and we were caught out. It happens a lot and the margin b/n winning and losing was razor thin for each team. Hardly Spursy.

Well… what do we expect?

I know in here, among the very knowledgable Spurs brethren, we are realistic about where we are. And there should be no over-dramas, it's all a process etc…

BUT

Look at it from another club fan's point of view. This is the absolute definition of Spursy. A week of puff pieces about our coming of age, how we're now a big team at the top table, Juve in turmoil/disgrace at home if they go out, we're the young and the new, they're the old and the past it, lovely timed new stadium reveal videos of being the best ground in the world, then a goal up at home, with 2 away goals, 26 shots, dominating, having the fortune of one of the worst penalty calls of the season to help us and seemingly having a foot in the next round… and… their manager makes a fairly basic tactical switch, we concede 2 goals in 5 mins and lose fairly meekly in the end as they professionally shut up shop like a Champions League side does, then get trolled off by their captain on live TV.

Everything is context. While I know we're not legends, I absolutely understand why this will be seen as an example of it. (And we can't even moan about their diving because 'Dele' cancels that out)

But while I do feel we need to win something soon, it wasn't going to be this. I believe the only team in the history of the Champions League to win it having not been a domestic champion in the season of their win or the season before was Liverpool, and they'd won the UEFA, FA and League cups in the fours years running up to it.

No one just wins the Champions League out of the blue, from a 10-year trophy void. Doesn't happen, however much positive thinking Poch wants to radiate. But I think we'll be pretty defenceless to criticism if we either don't win the FA Cup or get top four. As ever, exits heap pressure on the remaining competitions

We were like the lion that played with the prey that played dead got up an ran away. We must become killers when we gets our chance it has to be clinical that's the final lesson Pochettinho needs to insteel with this squad.

There's no shame losing to Juventus but overall we should of won
