And Murphyand Jenas.....
Hmmm, like Redknapp he always strikes me as someone who happened to play for but is a Scouser through and throughAnd Murphy

Shearer also then gazed into his crystal ball to claim that if Mourinho was the Tottenham manager, Spurs would still be in the Champions League.
Juventus knocked Tottenham out the UCL with a 2-1 win at Wembley. But Shearer has argued:
I heard talk earlier in the season that the likes of Mauricio Pochettino is the future and Mourinho the past.
But last midweek Mourinho would have taken advantage of that draw Spurs got in Turin and the one-goal advantage at Wembley to see his side through to in the Champions League.
Just an extract but I'm glad he's been put in his place by the mighty Seville
Shows you how much pundits know compared to fans
Bad pundit good player
And a bit of a knob
If Poch had been the coach of Man U with that squad then they would definitely have got thru.https://www.google.co.kr/amp/s/www....s/shearer-liverpool-tottenham-man-united/amp/

when he says:
'Having tipped Manchester United to win the Premier League last season, I’m not going to desert them now.
Although Guardiola has spent £200 million this summer, and Manchester City look formidable on paper, I just can’t rule out the Special One winning his fourth title in English football.
...
Verdict: Toss-up with City for the title Champions'
the comparison for Man Utd should be City. Money spent, wages, manager profile, recent title wins etc.. comparing them with Spurs is a distraction. Vs Spurs they look a success - despite being only 4pts ahead and totally outclassed in the last meeting - but they should always be given the resources available. Vs City they are way behind. Mourinho gets hammered because despite spending 600m since 2013, they play (more often than not) a dull game and grind out results when they should be able to dominate teams like City (and Spurs, and even Liverpool) have.
But then, Savage is a professional loudmouth and it's no surprise he chooses not to see it.
Oh yeah, forgot about Hoddle. Decent example of a legend tbf!
I wish that Mabbs had been a regular pundit.Problem with Hoddle is not just that he’s losing it up top but that he is connected to other teams too - specifically Chelsea and England, which is mainly what he gets asked about, altho Spurs are undoubtedly his first love. Scousers and Utd pundits tend to be all about that club specifically. “Ours” are like Lineker, who actually prefer Leicester, Redknapp/Murphy/Souness, who all actually prefer Liverpool, etc.
I increasingly think Jenas is our pure pundit but he often gets ganged up on by the others. Which might even be some kind of subliminal metaphor
Alan Mullery used to be regular on Sky but I haven't seen him for quite a while now, he's probably retired.
Probably working in his sports shop down in Dalston. I know for sure it was still there about 35 years ago.

A couple of seasons ago when Leicester won the title he and Sherwood were on MOTD, and Lineker asked who do you want to win the title.
Murphy and Sherwood looked at each other and Danny said “Come on - we’re Spurs boys aren’t we?”
He regularly talks about the club with great affection despite only being with us for a short time and not being treated that well when he was.
There are some pundits (who I view as tabloid pundits) who are only capable of reporting accepted narratives. For example the whole soccer Saturday crew, Mersin in particular, Neil Ashton etc. It becomes the perceived accepted wisdom that of course we will sell Kane “when the big boys come knocking”, win a trophy, Poch to Real etc etc etc. They cannot possibly break out from that narrative and are incapable of critical thought, so they repeat the same shit over and over and over again.......to the point where whatever our form, whatever the previous result you can predict with 100% certainty what they are going to say.
They do this for two reason - firstly, click bait. It gives the vast majority of their audiences who are threatened, unnerved and pissed off by our rise some comfort. Secondly, they are to put it mildly quite thick.....incapable intellectually of independent critical thought. This is never more illustrated than when a journalist bucks the trend and challenges the narrative. Gab Marcotti and Henry Winter do this all the time and it’s so refreshing to hear.
I stopped listening to talk sport 2 years ago, and depending on who’s on Sunday supplement I won’t listening to that either.
So some pundits have an agenda, some are genuinely biased against us due to their own club allegiances, and some are just thick as pig shit.
Ha. He's married to a friend of mine's sister and he seems like a genuinely nice guy from what I've seen.
He's clearly a massive Liverpool fan, unashamedly, and suffers a bit from that 'no club is as big as Liverpool' syndrome, but always feels like he's pretty decent on us.
