Although I get what he means. He did make some good points. another main worry is not being able to keep clean sheets United apart

Still early days and a lot more to be positive about

I think that is the disappointment for many watching yesterday including myself that once we got in front It looked as if we would go on to win the game ugly, but the players decided that they no longer had to work hard or compete and so Watford did those things and we simply crumbled.
Poch must be naturally pissed off but some of it was on him again with his reluctance to change things until very late, he shows to much faith and loyalty sometimes but then he doesn't have the quality to replace anyone.

I agree, Jenas is usually spot on in his assessments but what I think he should have said was win ugly. Have we actually won ugly - yesterdays game was a perfect opportunity to battle and win ugly.

I think the last time we won ugly was perhaps Palace away when Eriksen scored that long ranger or actually Palace last season witht he last minute Harry goal

I think Poch yesterday also alluded to it by his comments around commitment and passion etc - thats winning ugly.

I think we’ve won ugly plenty - the whole second half of last season was filled with plodding performances lit up by moments of individual quality to win us games. This season has started in much the same way.

I think we win when not at our best all the time, and we win ugly enough when we have to. Let’s face it, we’ve won the vast majority of games we’ve played for the last few years - anyone who hasn’t seen us win at least a few of those “ugly” just hasn’t been paying attention.

Every team won ugly... City did it lots, Liverpool did it, every Top team wins games even though they played poorly. That's what title contenders do.

This was one game - so we have to hope they'll learn from it....even though they had enough opportunities to do so already

I don't think Poch had this excuse yesterday. Midfield was wide open and he had 3 good CMs on the bench. At 2-1 down and chasing it applied but he should have at very least changed it at 1-1.

Kinda agree but there were positives in those games apart from the result. There was nothing yesterday, even our goal was terrible. Newcastle was ugly but we scored a class goal to win it. First half last week was ugly but we blew them away offensively second half.

9 points is a pretty good return for the actual quality of our performances TBH.

Jenas definitely exaggerated but that would have been the ultimate ugly win yesterday if it finished 1-0.

We didn’t play badly though, we just didn’t play great. A lacklustre first half and a great second half does not consistute a bag game (I’m talking about Monday night at old Trafford)

He’s right, we never win dirty. He’s talking about the games that don’t go out way and we still manage to get something. Something I’ve never seen, and the likes of city and leister a few seasons ago earnt them the right to be champions.

Edit: we played poorly yesterday and deserved the loss, Watford wanted it more plain and simple. It’s those games when it’s not going right you need to dig deep and ride out the storm. We just didn’t want it enough, second half especially.

Agree but this is one of his failings his reluctance to change things when it was obvious they had a head of steam the warnings were there but was not heeded.

One game that springs to mind was Crystal Palace last season where we would have lost if it weren't for Gazzaniga heroics on his debut to keep us at 0-0. Son scored a curling effort to get the win.

When Spurs win lucky, its a mistake and we should have lost, everyone else its Champions luck and mental toughness etc etc.

Winning ugly and playing poorly and winning are two different things... we’ve won more games than I care to remember, when we’ve not been great, but ended up getting the result.

Winning ugly is when a team don’t let you play and physically bully you, like Watford did in the last 25 minutes... they’re the games where you need to find something else in your armoury (pure ability /individual brilliance aside) to get the job done. That I kind of agree we don’t do as often.
