I think you have missed @coopsieyid point. He didn't say (and no one else has either) that Son is better than Hazzard. What he is saying is that he would rather have Son than Hazzard because of Son's ethics, something that Hazzard seems to lack.
This.

Poch has assembled a squad that is willing to work its socks off for the team and the club. They have the desire and right mentality to keep going until the end, they don't complain about the double sessions, they'll run through brick walls. Poch will only agree to sign players that will fit in with the ethos of the club, regardless of their on pitch talent.

I think he definitely wants a reaction but doesnt mean what he says is incorrect. Look with pundits they will always say something controversial etc - they cant please everyone. What you agree with someone else will disagree with and vice versa...

I enjoy listening to most pundits - ill tell you who i cant fuckin stand though (and i have a high threshold for pundits) the ESPN lot - Steve fucking Nicholl, Craig **** Burnely and the rest of them... like fuck me theyre shit.
Steve Nichol is the worst. A fucking bully and a dinosaur.

Those ESPN guys apart from Marcotti are the biggest bunch of dickhead around, they make the Soccer Saturday lot look like saints.
Yeah, the way Nichol treats Marcotti is beyond contempt, it's like he's something he's found on the bottom of his shoe. Horrible to watch.

Both him and Burley play the stereotypical angry Scotsmen with the extreme views who just shout over everyone - seems like it pulls in the viewers though so I guess they're playing up to their roles, trolling or not though they're just a bunch of pathetic clowns. Marcotti I reckon likes being on there because he comes across as a far better pundit with his measured approach and makes them all look stupid.

Yeah ESPN FC is completely unwatchable IMO. I don't mind the guys they have on video feed i.e. Honigstein, Marcotti, Laurens etc. but I hear all of their opinions on various podcasts anyway. The studio-team for ESPN FC are absolutely shocking to the point of being unwatchable. The two angry Scots are just like an exaggerated cartoon amalgamation of a surly Scotsman and "proper football man". Then there's Shaka Hislop, who is probably the most tolerable of the lot but still quite annoying, and then the Latino guy who is just sort of "there" without really contributing anything. None of them offer any kind of insight or analysis whatsoever and just talk for the sake of talking.

The host is a sort of weird poor-man's Jake Humphries as well and always talks with a really strange intonation/rhythm to his voice

I just find the whole thing like nails on a chalkboard to be honest. I hate Soccer Saturday but give me that lot all day over ESPN FC

Has anyone seen the TSN (canadian) coverage with their weird pundits who've clearly been told to stare straight down the camera when delivering their analysis?
Its really unnerving, and bordering creepy, its like they're staring into my soul.

It must be a North American thing. I get the same feeling when Butch Harmon stares down at me on Sky Sports golf coverage.

I know what you mean, but he’s got a funny eye though hasn’t he? Always thought he’s got one glass eye or something going on there.

I love the geordie guy co-commentating. Like a young Sid Waddell. He was great during the El Classico last week. Haven't got a clue who he is....

Hazard is probably the most talented player in the league. I can’t believe we are even having this discussion.

He's not in my opinion. He's a great player but tell me how he's produced so much more than Son this season.

If Son keeps this up they're on similar levels.

I haven’t missed that at all, it’s pretty obvious that’s what he’s saying. And people have said that Son is better than Hazard if you look closely.

I still think it’s very wide of the mark. Hazard is the best player in the league IMO, whereas Son isn’t even the best player at Tottenham.

Talent wise it's hard to argue against Hazard, but application, attitude, commitment and consistency Hazard isn't even close to Son. I've heard Cundy and other chav fans slate Hazard for this a number of times.

Hazard is the best dribbler in the league and one of the best in the world. His balance, his agility, his control and touch. His burst of acceleration past players, his ability to keep the ball in tight areas, his passing and vision is all superior to Son’s and pretty much everyone else tbh. Just look at Willian’s goal lately that he assisted. Pure magic. His movement is also vastly superior to Son’s, who’s constantly caught offside.

The stats should favour Son in that he’s played up front pretty much all season whereas Hazard has mainly played of the left, or used as a false 9 in a handful of games. They still don’t, however.

I can’t believe I’m having to even do this. :D

I do think they get told to be so antagonising and caricatures - to get viewers. I suspect this stuff works in America.

I used to love Marcotti - until i saw the **** down High Street Kensington where he lives. He is a grade A rude fucking knob. Im not normally one to be so angered by other people who I dont know but he is a grade A******* ****.

Lol please don’t listen to ****y.

This application stuff is rubbish too. Hazard applies himself in pretty much every game he plays and is a constant threat to the opponent. He’s by far and away Chelsea’s most dangerous player every game.

You could also argue he’s been more consistent than Son over his career. In fact, he has.

Interestingly, any Chelsea fan I know absolutely love Hazard and would laugh you out of town for even suggesting Son’s better.
