40-50.000.000. Of he goes. IMHO

Only my opinion but I think we'd take less than that now all things considered. The interest that was being shown in the Summer was non existent in January. I don't see him leaving for a lesser club unless they throw a lot of money at him, so perhaps his outburst and injuries have now worked in our favour as far as keeping him is concerned.

My dream is for us to land Sessegnon and then work out a cash plus shaw deal with united.

Unless he recaptures some of last season's form keeping him seems less ideal now. He has shifted into the gray area Dembele occupied for a lot of the first half of the season where you can see sparks but looks a shell of himself. Hopefully, like Dembele, he'll put it all back together soon.

Do knee injuries generally rob players of pace? I thought that unless it's a complete tear, which I understand it wasn't in Rose's case, MCL injuries don't generally cause that problem - I thought that hamstring injuries are the key ones for pace.

Happy to be corrected.

So some are writing off a player who has not had a preseason and has been out injured for the better part of a year... Amazing.

Give him some minutes let him help the team to achieve top 4.... Come back for pre-season and fight for a starting place with the rest of the team.

Its so obvious that all he needs is match fitness/sharpness. This comes with game time. Glad Poch sees it.

Not seen anyone writing him off, just expressing concern.

Would absolutely love to keep him, he doesn’t look 100% fit but I'm sure if he goes through pre season he will get very close to the player he was.

Think I'm right in saying he is our longest serving player and the only one left who was signed under Jol/Comolli. A player who has been on a real journey with us, I'll always love Danny and would love to win a trophy or two with him.

There are those who feel he is a shadow of his former self.. I just think that its way too soon to draw that conclusion.

Some minutes and the odd game and he will be fine.

At the moment he is. Like I said in a previous post he looks this far to have lost a yard of pace, hopefully he'll get that back because I think it's one of the only things that sets him apart from a lot of ordinary full backs.

For me, on this seasons form, Ben Davies is the best left back in the Premier League..

With Danny Rose back it his best we would have the best two in the league

Crazy really

I think he needs to consider retiring or looking for a club where he'll just be happy.

His failure to make any level of impact at a team getting relegated suggests his Prem days are done. Maybe a move to America with the shorter season might be more his speed.

Either that or a move into coaching. He was very popular with the u23s the year he spent training with them. So it seems he has an aptitude for connecting with youngsters.

I'd actually forgotten he signed for Watford, he made so few appearances for them.

Quite sad, really, but I'm pleased that Spurs appear to be taking care of him. 32 years old would be very young to retire, but it's fair to say he's probably lost the hunger to compete for a place in a PL-level squad now.

Perhaps a move to an "easier" league such as Portugal, Belgium, Australia or the MLS would suit him if he wants to boost his pension for a year or two.

Failing that, as others have said, I think he could be a brilliant youth coach. Hopefully we can find a place for him if that's the path he wants to go down.

To be fair, as I understand, he made quite the impact on Adam Mesina, who he was competing against for the LB position. He does have the experience and air of someone capable of passing down knowledge to an understudy but I think that perhaps conflicts with his desire for regular first team football.

I think a move abroad may suit him better than staying in England or even a move north of the border to Rangers or Celtic for a season or two if he doesn't want to leave the UK

He's in the middle of a 2 year contract with watford - it isn't running out this summer.
It is extraordinary behaviour.
What to do with Danny Rose, eh?

Is Danny THE scorer of the greatest debut goal ever?

Under the floodlights against arch rivals, full on volley from way way outside the box. I struggle to think of better.

If my career included that stat I'd be pretty happy. The lad was my favourite player for a couple of seasons.

*sorry to take the thread off topic, but this thought often crosses my mind every time I see a player making their debut, and I couldn't resist.
