The Observer is saying that Chimbo wants out and has instructed his agent to start looking for employers?

Where did that come from?

It seems weird because you would think that Ramos' system would be great for him and he would recognize this. I bet reporters are seeing him playing CB twice and thinking, oh there's filler.

if he goes then he goes, we can pick up a better defensive fullback that him, but will strugle to find one who will get forward as much IMO

Seems like bullshit to me, probably just there to validate all the stuff about us being interested in Hutton

he was supposed to be on the verge of signing a new contract the other week

& Seville were linked with him a year or so ago, so I'd be surprised if Ramos didn't rate him

he needs to sort his form out though

Imo it's bulls**t. Being linked to Hutton it's a good one to throw in. Do you think Hutton would come to us and be backup to Chimbonda when he is first choice at Rangers. It lends more weight for the reporters if they say Chimbo is on the way out the door.

Sure he goes forward a lot, but so what? What does he actually do when he goes forward? He's uncomfortable on the ball, and looks for the easy option of passing back to Zokora or Jenas. He can't cross to save his life. I mean, we say Lennon can't cross... Chimbonda makes Lennon look like Becks. He doesn't link with his winger well at all... he's just so overrated, and this is my just focusing on the shortcomings in his attacking play. Imagine if I was to concentrate on his defensive work? :|

i agree with he should be concentrating on the defensive work, but he does normaly link up well with Lennon when Lennon starts playing well.

as i said before, if he goes it is no great loss, we can then get a FB who will be bale to defend

He stays he goes, anyways Ramos needs to sort out the way our right side works together. Several times today he went on the run way to early and blocked Lennon from his runs and it all ended up in a backwards pass or nothing.

Also several times Lennon had to act as the full backs cause Chimbonda couldnt be arsed to run back or was way out of position. Against a better team we would been in serious trouble on the right side.

In many ways it's a shame we didn't take the money from CFC if it was on offer - and buy a solid right back - but hey PC come on - you can be great for us - :)

Ramos hasn't been in charge long enough for players to know how his system will suit them!

Unless, that is, they're don't like hard work! Chimbonda played well today though, I'd like him to stay.
