Chris Hughton has no room for bitterness. Shown the door after devoting 28 years of his life to Tottenham, no one would be surprised should he harbour a grudge.

"I enjoyed a wonderful career at White Hart Lane. I had some terrific highs as a player in the eighties and to go from there and have so many years on the coaching staff is something that makes me very proud. It's very difficult now to be bitter about what's happened." The former full-back, who joined Spurs as a 13-year-old, survived seven managerial changes in his time on the coaching staff.

"I'd like to have a go at managing a club," he said. "It hasn't happened in the past because there's always been a good reason to stay at Spurs."

bits of junk from the daily mail - he wants to be managing somewhere...

probably no takers at moment :bang:

perhaps he's flogging fine pre-owned vehicles currently?...

Must be galling to have won the confidence of seven (very different) managers only to then be sacked by the suits.

Anyway, he apparently has been turning up for reserve games up to see his son Cian play; nice to know there is still a Hughton at Spurs.

I hope he gets something - maybe managing a league 2 club - I reckon Brentford will be looking soon - that might interest him - they have a history of ex Spurs players - Perryman, Holder - mind you they also had McLintock.

He was linked with Wolves when Hoddle resigned in 2006 and i hope he will get smilar chance to manage good club in the Championship or fellow BMJ in his next job.

Best wishes for CH
