This may not be a popular view, for obvious and understandable reasons, but if these injuries persist I really think it would be a good idea to part ways with ledley. I'm totally fed up with all the 'when king's back', and 'if only king was fit' comments. Do you think Alex Furguson or Arsene Wenger would allow the club captain, and key player to be as injury prone as king? I can't imagine it. It's a real shame, and i'd be as thrilled as anyone if he came back and stayed at least fairly consistently fit, but at the moment having him in the squad is only holding us back in my opinion.

I think he has just been unlucky and when he is fully fit he will be ok, he is our club captain and be back when he's ready. I've been praying avidly aswell that he wont be a darren anderton so fingers crossed.

For the sake of Tottenham, we just can't trust him to stay fit. I think his position should be replaced this January, if the right player is available. If he and King finish the season together then all the better, but we must take this burden away from him, and get the team back on track.

I think it's unfortunate that Rocha is injured too at the moment. I reckon we would have seen a lot of him if he was available, and given a run in the team, his experience/maturity may well have helped to stabilize us.

As it stands though, a tried n' tested, reliable CB should be well up there on the xmas list - and if that means sacrificing Big Tone (for example), then (IMO) so be it.

dragon1 on COYS said he's upping training to another level next week and though the west ham game may be too soon the wafer cup match against aoalborg may be a realistic target,so depending on him not having a breakdown it's looking imminant

Hmm, not sure thats too likely. 9-10 days away from full training. I'd suggest he'd want at least 2 weeks after that to get towards match fitness.

I was pretty miffed when we played him twice a week at the end of last season, as I bet that screwed him up. However, it did get us 5th place, so its a tough one. Maybe if we had rested him then, we'd have got 6th last season, but he'd have already played 5/6 games this season. Big if, but food for thought as I bet he won't be up to twice weekly matches ever again (very, very rare occasions excepted).

When did the sc membership turn into medical professionals? I very strongly doubt whether many of you even know what your talking about and none of you have access to Ledley's medical records, so instead of making rash statements remember that it is all just speculation.

For those who think he should be sold, he has shown great loyalty and a great desire to play for spurs and he should be rewarded for that and given the chance to fully recover. There is an argument that we should look to buy a top quality player just in case the worst happens, but at this stage I would say that again it is all speculation.

Mackay broke his leg twice and recovered, Shearer, Robson and many others have gone on to have great careers.

As soon as he's played a season, we concede far less goals than we are doing and we are pushing for 4th. That's when both Ledley and Tottenham are back
