Well this is out of the blue, I thought this was going really well :(
I was gonna suggest meeting up for a few beers, nothing serious at first, take it slowly and see how it goes from there.
Massage maybe?

Poch has finally given an explanation:

Spurs boss Pochettino explains why he has put Carter-Vickers on the bench instead of Wimmer

A number of Spurs fans have questioned why 18-year-old Carter-Vickers, who is yet to make a competitive appearance for the club, has been named among the substitutes for each of the Lilywhites’ five games so far instead of Austria international Wimmer, who was at Euro 2016.

While Wimmer missed Tottenham’s pre-season friendlies in Australia and Oslo through injury, he has been available for the recent matches – but Pochettino has opted to name Carter-Vickers on the bench instead, having been impressed by the teenager’s performances in the warm-up games.

“I believe that Cameron is doing well,” said Pochettino. “If you watch again the games against Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan, I think that maybe he deserves to play in the starting 11, because he can give to the team better quality than another player – it’s for that.

“All my decisions are because I think a player can give more things than another player. It’s for that that I’ve picked him on the bench.

“Kevin arrived late to pre-season and he was injured, remember. He didn’t play in Australia and Cameron did very well. You can watch the games – and if he deserves to be on the bench, then why not? Because he is young and another is…? It’s about performance.”

I smell bullshit.

My assessment of CCV from those friendlies were that he was not ready for the premier league.

But our great leader wants me to believe that he thinks CCV is now better than Wimmer.

I think he is saying CCV is currently training better than Wimmer. Hard to know.

Also he says "it's about performance"

But it wasn't when Verts got fit again last season was it.

It will be interesting to see who plays on Wednesday - I would assume it will be CCV and Wimmer.

CCV was good in pre-season- it was Ball who greatly struggled and we sold him.

Yeah me too, Wimmer goes from starting in Verts absence last year, putting in good performances to not being able to make the bench in less than a year? And losses his spot to a untested, 20 year old who played in 2 friendlies?

Wait, so because CCV did well in a few meaningless friendlies he's now above the guy who was probably our second best centre-back last season. Surely there has to be more to this

Having watched those friendlies, I'd have to agree. Doesn't add up.

If there is nothing specific Wimmer has one wrong, he simply needs to look to Dembele to see how quickly fortunes can change. Train your nuts off, work to improve and be humble and you will get back into contention

Of our two starting cb's you have to feel Verts is the more likely to get a knock, which is why the decision to not include our back-up lefty amongst the subs and have a relatively untried 18 year old is even stranger.

Why are people so quick to criticise Pochettino or a player or brand them a liar based on nothing but speculation and guesswork?

Some people have such an inflated sense of their own opinions. How about you become a little more self-aware and recognize that you know fuck all, instead of criticising people for something that may not even exist. It's fucking bewildering.

There is nothing wrong with Pochettino's explanation either. If Wimmer was picked over CCV because he was impressing more in training and deserved to be there would anyone complain? Of course not.

The people that want Pochettino to back the youth more are now criticising him for putting a kid on the bench because he thinks he deserves it more. It's just criticism for the sake of criticism.

because this is a football forum where fans can and should express their opinions freely, it's the nature of the beast, bud and if you dont like u dont have to acknowldge it or even read it if u like.
Nobody is over reacting it's not like people are #pochout or anything. And you have to admit it is fairly strange.

Criticising someone based on something that is just speculation and complete guesswork which might not even be true isn't an opinion though. It's just complete nonsense and makes no sense. The foundation of every opinion should be evidence to back up that opinion. Not guesswork.

Nah, I don't think the fact that one player is impressing more than another and therefore gets selected ahead of him is strange. Honestly, what is strange about that?

And what evidence, other than that complete speculation and guesswork, do people have to be implying that Pochettino is lying about the situation?
