Everton, for the reasons others have said - but also because my uncle played for them in the fifties and my cousins over the water a\ll support them.

Norwich, too, plucky while playing good football...and Delia's binge-rant.

Hull for reasons - and for coming up with the mauled by the Tigers, you're getting mauled by the Tigers chant when comfortably beating and outplaying one of the former SKY 4 (maybe the Goons, but can't remember).

And Wigan (I think) for the Chelsea, wherever you may be, don't leave your wife with John Terry chant just after Terry-Bosching-Bridges-Missus-Gate :)

1) Manchester United - The only thing stopping the red scum and blue scum from winning lots more trophies in the Sky 4 days. They did it playing great attacking football and grew organically into a global brand by building from their own success and not from an artificial cash injection by a bored gangster/sheikh looking to play a video game on cheat mode. For that alone, I have nothing bad to say about them and understood Teddy, Carrick & Berbatov leaving for Old Trafford given our situation at the time.

2) Leyton Orient - Proper family club.

3) Any other club with lots of ex-Spurs in them (ie. Hull, Sunderland, Swansea, etc)

Swansea, Bournemouth and Southampton, for trying to play decent football following promotion (and because Sigurdsson is awesome).

I used to dislike Hull (not entirely sure why), but have a soft spot for them since the signed so many of our players.

I used to get a lot of enjoyment from watching Man Utd, because they played the best football. Also, as you say, they stood in the way Arsenal, Chelsea and later Manchester City, who are all far less likeable. I also think they deserve more credit than they get for doing things in the right way. They historically spent more because their revenue was higher as a result of their previous successes and how they sold their brand, not because a billionaire was throwing money at them, and most of their success was built on a spine of academy players.

'99 and the season Ronaldo scored 31 goals provided plenty of excitement, even for a neutral fan. Their last title was really quite an achievement considering the ageing squad that on paper appeared to lack the necessary quality. I honestly wasn;t surprised by the huge gulf in performances immediately after Fergie left, because they had been punching so high above their weight and the whole squad was in need of an overhaul. If Fergie had stayed on, I think he would have needed a 2-3 year rebuilding project before lifting another title, or even putting up a serious challenge.

Bournemouth and Swansea. Saints, Everton and Burnley in the teir below. If there fans werent such twats(albeit in different ways), id have them in the top tier also. I love that Hull has Spurs boys, dont get me wrong, but the only reason why i like them at the moment is because they dont seem completely worthless as a PL club under Silva as they have in the past in the PL under Steve Bruce. Their uselessness infuriated me. They were a waste of a spot. Sunderland's great escapes the last few years were fun to witness and to root for but it was time that run ended so im glad to see them going down. But i really feel for JD. He doesnt deserve this and I really hope he gets sold back to a PL club this summer.

Forest for me. Stems from back in 94 when myself and 2 mates traveled to Europe for 6 months of boozing mayhem.
We were lucky to have a base in a village called Kimberley just outside Nottingham. The local got to know me very well, as did the patrons! The place we stayed at was my mates grans house. He was born there and had plenty of family locally as well. We were quite literally blown away by the level of hospitality and friendliness of everyone there we met. It seemed the whole town had been made aware the "the Australians" were coming to town! I like to think we didn't disappoint!
Long story short they were all passionate Forest fans (County didn't get a mention!) and since then they have always been my "second" team. Just hoping Warburton can keep them safe and move them forward next season.

...I always feel like I should want to like Everton, but their fans are utterly awful, probably even worse than Liverpool fans for their entitled screams of injustice every time a throw-in goes against them.

Very much this. It's genuinely weird.

I actually don't hate Man U all that much. Comes from growing up in the 70s/early 80s, when they really weren't great. Later, when we were shit, you knew that somebody had to win trophies and it generally wasn't going to be us. I didn't want it to be Liverpool or Arsenal (or anyone who was also shit, like say Man City or Chelsea) so it may as well be Man U.

I like Watford as I would sometimes go there with my Dad when Spurs weren't playing, or we couldn't get an away ticket. Brentford for the same reason (ditto Orient) although they're not really opponents as such. Charlton too.

I liked Portsmouth a bit because my grandparents lived on the IOW.

Like Hull because...well all the Spurs guys, but I actually quite like Hull itself. It's a weird place. And, you know, the Housemartins.

I like a lot of fans of clubs I hate, which confuses the issue a bit.
