Surprised no one has started a poll yet so thought I would. Should be interesting to see if there is any consensus

I'd be delighted with de Boer or Hiddink.

I'd be happy with Capello.

I'd be alright with Pochettino.

I don't want any of the others.

De Boer/Pochettino. De Boer has the star factor but Pochettino has impressed in the Prem.

I think De Boer would be a very interesting choice for sure. He'd be my pick.

Other - AVB back.

Seriously - De Boer is by far the standout candidate.

The problem is this has really become the worst poisoned-chalice job out there (except maybe the England job).

Our only real selling point is that we'll pay the new guy 3 years' salary for 18 months' work.

Maybe if we let him bring his managerial team with him and back him in the Jan transfer window he could be persuaded. AVB was out of a job so to a certain extent we could set the rules when hiring him, if we want a serious manager now we have to let them set the rules.

I'd like us to appoint Tim Sherwood.

(Ducks)

Many will baulk at the idea of not appointing a 'name' manager but how far has that got us in the past?

Let's appoint someone who knows the qualities of the squad as they've been around them for some time taking training and is highly thought of by the board so is less likely to get the heave-ho if results don't immediately pick up.

We need stability at this point of the season and appointing someone internal seems like the best way of achieving that.

Or go for another 'name' that needs to learn about our squad and have another drawn-out transition period.

I don't know about you, but i'm sick of them.
