Agreed, but if it did happen, it would be an absolutely phenomenal signing imo. Will be one of the best LB's in the PL, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets moved to a lwb/lm in the next few years and his value rockets.

For me, 30m is good value if you make sure he doesn't leave. 10 years worth of a player who will only get better.

We don't have the best record of keeping players who want to leave.

As far as Left backs go we would do well to get Ben Davies. We are a million miles away from signing Luke bloody Shaw.
