Wasn't sure if you'd seen the squad DC and those 3 aren't in it?

I think we have to play our strongest available side against City as it's one of only 3 routes left into Europe and is probably the most realistic.

I think this fixture is entirely to help out Ledley. So I would expect to see him and Rocha.

We are a bit short up front - literally and metaphorically. Pekhart and Barnard are injured, Barcham is on loan, so who else can play up fromt with Dawkins apart from Hutton? Maybe Taarabt as second striker if he's fit?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Huddlestone in the squad unless Wendy has a mind to include him for tomorrow. O'Hara definitely won't be on reserve duty having played on Saturday, and neither will Kevin Phipps-Bong. Expect to see Maghoma and Routledge in midfield.

So my entirely speculative line-up would be:

----------Alnwick--------------

A-Henville--Rocha--King--Hughton

Routledge--Taarabt--Maghoma--Rose

-------Dawkins--Hutton--------

Thanks BOF

What do you think of Rose and how far away do you realistically think he is (if you think he is at all) from making the 1st team squad and even the team?

I ask because of the speculation around us signing more left sided players.

cheers Legend & BOF :)

for sure we have play to play our strongest team & squad v City - it's an absolutely massive game - as big as if not bigger than Arsenal on saturday

the question is who's in the squad tomorrow and today - interesting to see our resident ressie watcher BOf's analysis who knows far more about these things than I

My team is guesswork because the team below the reserves, the U18s, have played three times in a week. So it depends who didn't play the most recent game (like Rose) and is fit. The official site doesn't carry much info on reserves fitness.

As this is not a reserve league game, I think Clive Allen will mix it up a bit. So we could see more of the U18s out there, bearing in mind loans and injuries.

For those who want to go, it's a 7pm ko and £5 entry (league games are £7). Normally only the main stand in Oliver Road is open. It's about 10 minutes walk from Leyton tube (Central line).

What is it exactly?! This is the first time I've heard of any such fixture

It's a friendly. Liverpool play in the northern section of the reserve league, so we don't meet them unless it's in the final (the two section winners play off at the end of the season). I'ts been on the official site for a week now.

Can I add that I now think that Dorian Dervite could also get an outing? Well I have.

King, Rocha and Taarabt are all unlikely to see any action against City and should play (hopefully 90 mins) against Liverpool.

I can't (and wouldn't even dare try  ) to find fault with that line-up of BOFs. Sounds very interesting.

But, coming at this from another angle, anyone have any idea of who the Scousers might be playing in their side? Any returning injured for them? Finnan? Squad players that need games? Voronin?

I'd like Ledders to get a good run-out, but nothing too nasty/tricky all the same.

If Rocha plays 90 minutes tonight then I can see him being involved at the Arse and he may even start.

this is not a fixture that was made for king, its because if there was no game tonight there would not of been a game for a whole month. kings fitness just fits into the schedule

But do we have any players returning who we need to be fit so badly that we'd go into the hassle of organizing a reserve match just for them?

I think it's safe to say that if Ledley was fit, this fixture wouldn't be being played!
