If this is their thinking then surely he would have played 45 minutes tonight to assess him and his fitness further?

reserve team strolls would be of no benefit. in fact 100 reserve team strolls would still be of little value. I'm so glad hes' not in the squad. unessesary risk.
He shouldn't even have played in the reserve team at the start of the month either. Incremented minutes of first team action is the best and right way to get him match fit.

I hope he's back for Arsenal - that will give the rest of the team such a boost. No to mention us!

i want to bum ledley king

But what if you injure him, whilst bumming?

I mean, surely every Spurs fan would hate you forever? Also, it would make interesting reading on physioroom.com (or whatever it is).

King, Ledley --- [expected return] 5th January 2008 --- [reason] Bummed by spursrule2fuk

Nothing will stop us getting a lesson at the goons so psycologically I would be tempted to give him no more than a place on the bench for the goon game.

yep tomorrow will tell us a lot about King's fitness -I'm afraid I'm veering towards pessimism - but that's cos I tend to worry a lot

so no King after all - no Taraabt either

what will it mean for tomorrow?

So pleased to see Dervitte back - so hope he can go on to be the player he promised to be

I think Rocha is more likely to feature against Arsenal then King - but that is 100% pure guesswork

Yep Ledge - it just seems to me RR is on a straightforward recovery trajetory and barring mishaps should be fit for the bench at least Sat - but as I say - I know nothing (on this subject anyway :)

it's terrible isn't it N10 - I find the only cure is sleep - but of course with Spurs there's so many things to think about before falling asleep, and then it's one last check on the computer, and then .... I'd get myself a life but I think they're out of stock ... :)

Routledge and Hutton are both wide boys, Olsen and Pekhart both strikers. So, it looks like Broadway Danny Rose is playing as a CM. Again.

I've lost count of the number of ressie/academy games recently where he's been played down the middle - either just behind a single striker or, as here, as one of two CMs.

I wonder if this is necessity (a shortage of CMs), or that just as Ramos has tried some of our first-team players in new positions, Juande actually sees Rose as a potential CM?

well we lost 2-1 - Rocha came off after 70 mins - but so did Olsen - so I guess/hope that was pre-arranged - at least RR should be fit for Arsenal game
