What's new

Why did one of our fans do this?

A lot of fans think our fans are scum.
I don’t understand why personalities are assigned to people based on the clubs they support. I can quite easily enjoy a pint with Gooner mates while distancing myself from the antics of a Yid. Fan bases are so diverse now. Apart from Liverpool fans obviously. Dillusional fuckwits.

Ye I agree. Especially London clubs. A few miles separate us. Do people really think mentalities and behaviour changes that much?

He gets off light in England compared to what Lee Hughes and Ched Evans had to encounter. The fella was driving 70mph in a 30mphwhile being over the limit killing his passenger. If he had donethat in England the fans would rip into him every week

The Alonso thing is an ongoing theme on “Football twitter”.For people that don’t know “football twitter” is basically 12-16 yr old kids on twitter trying to make themselves look funny and hard and impress their mates,it’s very little to actually do with football. You kind of have to see it to understand it.The Alonso accident is something they constantly bring up,in their minds as some ongoing “joke”.Which obviously it isn’t.Whoever did this is clearly more worried about his kudos amongst his twitter mates than actually supporting spurs.

The guy on right holding it is smiling like a dickhead as well.

Sure he'd find it massively amusing if it was a family member of his or someone he knew that was involved with the incident.

Unless his left and right arms have swapped, that's not him holding it...

Am I the only one who doesn’t care?

About the banner or about the incident?

If the incident I'd guess yes you are considering he killed a women through his own stupidity/selfishness/neglegence and got away with basically a few weeks wages fine

But if the banner then yeah I don't really either, a bit tasteless and those people are dickheads but it's nothing compared to fans being racist

Yeah, football twitter (or FT for short) used to be decent back in the day when the banter was football related. Now it's just virgin kids calling each other nonces every other minute...

 Funny because it's true. Don't forget the stone island and the obligatory photo from behind an escort!

It makes we wonder what going to a football match will be like in ten years time. Perhaps calling players nonces and mongs will become the norm. Perhaps in celebration of Sissoko goals we'll all scream "SISSOKO'S SHIT, GET HIM OFF POTCH!!1!" in unison

It’s a bit of a low blow but he did kill a women through drink driving then allegedly pay the girls family to avoid jail. Let’s not feel too bad for him.

The banner is cringeworthy but fuck Alonso. He should have done jail time but only walked because he’s a famous athlete. If that was my daughter in the car with him I don’t know how well I’d deal with that. That piece of shit deserves everything that comes his way.

Nah here is like Oxbridge compared to FT lol
Yeah I suppose, but at its crux most of it is just attention seeking, saying the most outrageous things catches peoples attention, conveying a fair point doesn't to the same extent.

I honestly can't deal with football fans on Twitter, and tend to steer well clear of the match threads when the game is actually being played...its mainly people who are alone who have no-one to listen to their ill-though out bollocks in person.

I'd never heard about this before. The banner is pretty tasteless all right, but feeling pangs of disapproval when it's targeting the perp in a drink-driving death seems a massive waste of energy.
