This banner is actually worse than death by dangerous driving.
He gets off light in England compared to what Lee Hughes and Ched Evans had to encounter. The fella was driving 70mph in a 30mphwhile being over the limit killing his passenger. If he had donethat in England the fans would rip into him every week
The only reason I'd say this is in bad taste is because it's obviously not a fully serious protest banner or anything and so kind of seems disrespectful to the girl and her family.
On the flip side, fuck Alonso. He committed manslaughter at best and second degree murder at worst and yet didn't spend a day behind bars and probably paid the girl's family a few weeks wages at most? I can't believe more isn't made of it to be honest, I only found out about it a few months ago. The guy should be in prison.
It’s a bit of a low blow but he did kill a women through drink driving then allegedly pay the girls family to avoid jail. Let’s not feel too bad for him.

He may have paid some sort of compensation to the family but its out of the family's hand if the state decides to prosecute and the sentence that is meted out. It would be different if it was a civil matter. What is disgusting is the sentencing. Is that true, how the fuck can that be right.
What a deterrent that is.
Surely the legal system has a strict obligation to the rest of the public to set the appropriate sentence?
The fact he is a very well off footballer shouldn't have anything to do with the sentence passed.
If anything, they should be making an example out of him.
Yeah I do agree, let him live with himself everyday for what he did. That's enough.
I have to disagree, he probably doesn't give a shit. He's just happy he didn't get his arse ragged in jail!
