How do you know he wouldn't cost much .

Suppose the price is £30m , would you go for that ?

The other side of the coin is can our manager get Adebayor to play for a whole season .
No i don't know which is the point i was making. Has anyone asked personally i doubt Swansea would turn down a 10m offer for a player they paved 2m for. Can you honestly say Swansea would hold out for 30m? Id be surprised if they could turn down 10m.

We've got a regular poster on here with good links at Swansea. He posted yesterday that they wouldn't take less than 30m. They don't need it, he is happy, loves Laudrup, he's going nowhere.

You can't base a transfer fee on the price paid last year. Just look at Benteke.

And, thank you very much everyone, for some very kind words about the column. I'll try to do more over the summer. And whether you liked it or not, maybe you'd like to get involved and write one yourself? We have a great history of terrific columns on SC and it'd be ace to see some more. :)

Talk is cheap. Im fairly certain if one of the big boys came in with 15m and upped it tillo. Swansea thought they wouldn't get anymore he'd be gone.
Real Madrid offer 20m and Swansea say no lol.
Don't think so somehow.
Great post by the way.

Great to see some columns come up, strangely I prefer a good heart felt column to random replies that float between trying to be funny/ironic/sarcastic. Hope you can keep it going (y)

Personally I think it's all to do with crazy wages & CL football. It's a shame we didn't capitalise by signing a big name striker when we qualified. Looking from a pure football perspective though (may be slightly rose tinted here) we're a great prospect for a striker to come in. We have a lot of creativity in the side just with nobody reliable to put the chances away. Defoe hit's a hot streak twice a year for two or three games and Ade picks up his work rate before transfer windows or when contract negotiations are coming up. If I was a striker looking around at clubs I would love to play in the same team as Bale, Lennon, Dembele, Sigurdsson, Chadli, etc...
