Watch and learn and try to be open-minded. Not entertaining and skilful enough? Plenty more clips around showing talented women's football. I'm proud of them.

This isn't a sexist rant at all but showing clips like that doesn't really reflect much as the quality of the game is so poor.

I can show some clips of me being amazing at 5-a-side if you want.

I loved that World Cup. Sorry if that doesn't fit your point of view.

Okay. Try saying that next time instead of claiming it was 'one of the best sporting events of the year'. You stated it like it was fact, when it didn't come close to being one of the best in terms of quality or entertainment. Subjective of course, but I'm fairly sure your opinion is in the minority and saying stupid things like that is what does the women's game a disservice because it just brings further ridicule on the sport.

No. I refuse.

It was the best World Cup ever.

I found the last woman's WC much more enjoyable than the men's (from an English perspective). Frankly the English women showed far more passion for the shirt than anything the blokes have done for years.

If I want to see 11 passionate women take on the USA, its not football I'm watching.

The Women's game is enjoyable to watch, sometimes. But most of the time, its just not my thing. Our national team is the best in the world but I do not enjoy watching them play most of the time. Why? Its the same crap over and over again. Kill the opposition alot to alittle and not even play that entertaining. It's a bore. Not to mention, some players have managed to infuriate me with their righteous drivel that is absurdly hypocritical and demeaning to the mens team(I'm looking at you, Abby Wambach). Then you have someone like Hope Solo who is probably on like her 10th chance at the moment. Christ, if she wasnt the best womens keeper in the world she'd have been kicked off the team a while ago.

The WWC was a good watch last year for the most part. Good games, entertaining, and the final was good stuff. However, its absurd that they didnt play it on grass.

Personally I think women's team sports will always have a gap in terms of how interesting they are for viewers because they are much less physical matchups. Athletics and tennis are two sports where I find the women just as entertaining as the men, but football and rugby just look like the tv is stuck on half speed. I don't watch much of them, but it appears the same to me in hockey and basketball.

I think that as a nation we have put too much emphasis on physical attributes at a young age, and that if we are looking to change this then the women's game is a brilliant opportunity to figure out how. I think we should deliberately take women's football to the opposite extreme, and start forgoing physical training for intense technical training, and from a young age. There's no reason we couldn't train up hundreds of girls who were as skillful or even more skillful than Ronaldo. I think that would be immensely more watchable than anything which is just a second rate (at best) version of the men's game.

Imagine watching a team of eleven Ronaldinhos! It would be good no matter how slow or unfit they were. Maybe that's a sexist idea, I'm not sure. I would be tuning in though.

The BBC is taxpayer run so should show a variety of sports rather than just concentrating on the most popular.

There really is no issue here.
That's the point though. They don't show the most popular. They've been reduced to minority sports with no audience. No live football, cricket or Formula One.

Because it seems that the BBC don't show any live football other than women's thesedays.

I'd prefer to watch non-league over women's football. It's of a higher standard too.
