To be honest, I think it was a good decision for Ramos to go 3 at the back with Zokora just in front, considering they were only playing 1 upfront.

It worked, and we went 2-1 up, its at that point we should have taken a striker off, and put Lee on and revert back to 442 before conceding the equalizer.

Deano Richards is a painful blast from the past... cheers for that

:violin:

But at least I could understand why we signed him, he was superb at Southampton.

This is other fella is captain of the French U-21's whoopee do. The Welsh U-21's went 20 odd games without winning a game but put 4 past him and his mates.

He has the physical attributes to be top class. He is quick, strong in the air and tackle, can bring the ball out of defence and play superb passes. However, what sets out good players from top class players is consistency and concentration. He just switches off in games, but I am not surprised at it seems all french based signings take time to settle in the premiership, as the pace and pressure in the prem is far higher than in France.

Give him time and he will come good.

I can see why Ramos took him off. We needed to make an offensive change, and as unsettled as it made our defence it wasnt that much different to when Kaboul was on. He has made a lot of errors so you might as well take off a liability if you are chasing a game.

Think the question should be why did he start rather than why did he come off.

It's clear that he isn't suited to the Premiership at the moment. He is physically strong and can put a tackle in but his positioning and decision making is poor. He may be a top player in the future but our Premiership season can't be a testing ground for young players.

If Stalteri is fit then he should have played with Chimbonda at centre back.

He'll come good. He's the best young player we have had at the club in years.

I say stick with him.
