Hello all,

Wycombe fan here in peace. With the international break upon us, I would like to cordially invite you all to take in some League Two football at Adams Park, High Wycombe this coming Saturday, where the mighty Chairboys will take on Forest Green Rovers, those famous vegan warriors. If you are sick of the corporate Premier League, and decry the loss of that sense of connection, fear not - we can offer agricultural tackles, sky high long balls and sections of terracing that will have you nostalgic for the 1980s!

On a serious note, we boast the strongest footballer on the planet in Adebayo Akinfenwa, one of the most pleasant grounds in the country in Adams Park, and a fan owned club that is known for it's friendliness. To top it all, our league scorelines this year have been 2-2, 3-2, 2-4, and 3-2, so I can almost...almost, guarantee a feast of goals - perhaps even a scoreline that brings back memories of the titanic FA Cup battle between Spurs and Wycombe last year!

As if all of that was not enough, we have a folky original song, that can be downloaded for free:

I am rather biased though, as I wrote it!

So please feel welcome to visit us at Adams Park this coming Saturday for some League Two football!

Not after the arsehole clenching I had to endure when you came to ours last season.

I'm going to a Wycombe game when I'm in the UK in December, I used to live there and they're my second team. Excited about their prospects this season but very worried about the dreadful defending they've shown now that Pierre's gone.

The 4th round match was a special game (and I'm glad Spurs won in the end) and it's good to see lower league fans from fairly nearby clubs trying to get PL fans to watch some lower league when it's international weekend. Best of luck against the vegans. Up the Chairboys!

A nice offer but i can't be arsed with any travelling after enduring the hell that is getting to and from Wembley.
Ill be rubbing shoulders with the ex-cons of Enfield as we smash the mighty Harrow Borough.

Cheers lads. Well, the invite is open to all if anyone ever fancies it. And best of luck for this season - my dad's a Spurs fan, so I would love to see you overcome the crappy Wembley situation and somehow win it all this year!

Every time I see Wycombe's nickname, I assume that someone somewhere made a spelling mistake and then just styled it out.

"What? Yes of course I meant Chairboys. Well yes Choirboys would seem a more normal word to you, but not here in Wycombe. What's that? No those hundreds of logos we printed of Choirboys in Wycombe shirts are entirely incidental. All hail the Chairboys!!!!!"

Bit out of the way for me down here in Margate.
If I travel anywhere else apart from Wembley this year it'll be over the Os.

Everyone should try and get to a few lower or on-league games a season and support their local clubs.

Cheers mate! It would be a huge service. Being a fan owned club, it's a fine balancing act to live within our means.

Nah mate they've moved back home!!
I had far too many messy nights in the Starlight rooms lol.

They're back on the playing fields almost and play in the athletics 'stadium' at the end of Donkey Lane (opposite end of the playing fields from where the old ground was)...it got refurbished for the 2012 olympics, was used as a training base for a few countries, and Enfield were able to move back into it a few years back....it's pretty cool, cheap bar, a roof on each end which is handy for when it's pissing down.

It's a bit like West Ham as there's a running track round the pitch lol, but you stand literally on the sidelines now, where I normally stand behind the goal I can reach out and grab the net, it's great for intimidating the opposing goalie!

I also used to live in Wycombe, spent way too much time in the Nag's Head. Always keep an eye on their results, but a tad too far to travel grom Phoenix, Arizona.

Having seen Colchester play quite a few times I'd have to decline!! Not sure if they are still considered rivals? They had some good old battles in the Vauxall Conference!!

Very much still rivals. The games against Col U are always great for atmosphere.

Wycombe's main rivals are Oxford, Col U, Bristol Rovers (thanks to the relegation drama of a few years ago where Rovers celebrated on the pitch at Adams Park after beating Wycombe, thinking they'd stayed up, but Wycombe won and Rovers lost on the final day so Rovers went down anyway) and to a degree MK Dons (aka Franchise FC) who are the only other league club in Buckinghamshire.
