Can actually see him replacing son. Don't think Poch likes him too much
He had to convince Son to stay in the summer, and Son started all of our CL games, and 10/14 PL games (he missed 2 due to the Olympics). Not really indicative of a player not being liked by the manager.

We shall see. Like son but he's very frustrating and I think poch likes some things he can do, but can still
Improve on him

I'd take him if it's possible. Looking at our bench last night makes me think we need more attacking options. Our squad really isn't that strong when compared to the other teams at the top.

I would take him, a midfielder/striker. who has some pace and can beat a man, which we don't have in abundance, would improve our squad which we need

the reason we have sissoko is because Palace wouldn't let go of zaha, so i'm sure in the middle of the season their stance hasnt changed

I'd definitely take him after seeing him a few times this season. Bit of a gamble but could really excel here.

Plays well one in 5. Pass.
Is that because of the players around him or the management and coaching though? I admit there's not really anyway of knowing unless he actually played for a club like us but I think at United he was unfortunate as Fergie brought him in but was unwilling to risk him as they were heading towards the title, next Moyesy comes in and barely gives the lad a chance (or at least doesn't use him to his full effect).

He may have been a better option than GKN as he would have had a more immediate impact t least.

My gut feeling is that Son's place at The Lane is very vulnerable. He's capable of the outrageous, but I would imagine that he boils Poch's blood with his timidity alone.

So why didn't Poch let Son go?

I find it hard to know for sure, but I think it might have come down to a lack of alternatives. I thought Son was going to be the Asian Ronaldo after the way he started the season for us, but he's gone back to be being very unreliable. Is his confidence extremely brittle? It could be a factor. If you look at how he jumped out of Peter Cech's way a few weeks back and the missed 1v1 against Monaco, it would sum up a lot of his time with us. There's a lack of aggression in his game which bothers me.

As I said before inconsistency has blighted him, and his confidence was very brittle post his United nightmare. It's almost as if the fact that Poch wanted him so much has given him a shot in the arm, as he's lifted his game so much this year. Been involved in 7 goals either assisting or scoring in his last 7 games, which is very good for a wide man.

Why not ? He can follow in the footsteps of Njie and Nkoudou and be another winger signed to warm the bench.

Plays well one in 5. Pass.

7 assists and 2 goals in his last 8 game with 5 of the assists being in consecutive games. He's been consistently very very good indeed.

For anyone that's actually watched Crystal Palace this year, he's been pretty sensational to the point that if his form continues he may be beyond us by the summer.

I was dead against him in the summer but seems like we were onto something.
